A Unique Gem in a Lovely Old Mansion

A lovingly restored grand old Mansion located in a magnificent setting in an excellent wine growing valley 25k south of Blenheim. The owner/hosts could not be nicer, more friendly and accommodating with everything including fail safe recommendations about the best wineries to visit. And the salmon dinner they prepared for us was excellent. This is a unique property. It is a bit different in many respects. We enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it friends in New Zealand. Be sure you have precise directions to avoid getting lost as we did.

Alex and Peter were wonderful! We had a great stay there last week. Our hosts gracefully welcomed us and had plenty of recommendations for the area. Ugbrooke is perfectly located to take advantage of nearby vineyards and the home is very warm and welcoming, making for a great stay. Definitely stick around for homemade dinner - it was delicious!

Beautiful, grand and historic home in the vineyard

Location is among the vines. It is not in the city, if that's what you're looking for. However, if you want to actually relax in the peace and quiet of a lovely garden with views of the vineyard and the ocean, this is it. Also, amazing food, if you're into that. (see review on Trip Advisor)

Wonderful Country Retreat

This is a fantastic historic homestead with fantastic hosts. The views from our room were over the garden and local vineyards absolutely amazing. We stayed two nights and can't wait to go back. Perfect spot for a romantic getaway.

Fantastic English Country Estate Experience in New Zealand

Alex and Peter are great hosts! Very social, warm and welcoming. Dad and I had a very enjoyable time. The deal includes a continental breakfast. The dinner menu is very nice. There are surrounding vineyards and the estate is only a 20 minute drive to Blenheim. Well worth the experience staying at Ugbrooke Country Estate.
