Helpful, communicative staff. The elevator was broken during our stay and the staff kindly help us with our bags up and down the many flights of steps. This place is filled with adventure! The building is old but the bed and linens are modern, clean and comfortable.

Location, fabulous! Right in the heart of restaurants, the water, easy walking places without so many hills. This is a quirky property which doesn’t fit the mold. If you are prudish, skip this one but if you have a since of humor, aren’t afraid of sexual innuendo then go for it. The staff was great!

The room was very clean and got cleaned regularly. The aircon was definitely handy with it being quite warm outside (23 degrees on average). The location was great to get easily to all the places in the old town and it was near Cais de Sodre, a train station that takes you to surrounding areas and towns. There was usually staff at the desk and the check in and out times were great too. Overall a really good stay, I can’t fault it.

Wacky and wild, def not for kids, located in the heart of the heart of the Pink Street entertainment area, this was a fun stay. No ground floor so you carry your bags straight up the stairs that may be full of dancers and bar visitors if you arrive after 8pm. Very good double windows keep out most music and hubbub of the street. Bathroom nice and clean, fun furnishings, huge bed that was good for sleep.

Romantic getaway

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel’s central location made it easy to access everything we wanted to see and do. The building’s unique history added a special charm, and it was fun to learn more about it during our visit. We absolutely LOVED our stay! The details in the design, the quality of the furniture, bedding, amenities, etc really took you back in time. Our bed was the biggest bed we’ve ever seen, and the historic (and sexy) touches throughout the room and hotel were perfection. We felt safe, cared for, and would recommend this Pensao Amor to anyone looking fur a unique experience! We were on the 3rd floor & the double windows blocked out 90% of sound coming from Pink St below, and our sound machine app took care of the rest. The lounge below is a great time. We had hot water, and great water pressure. The bed was super comfortable, and we were just delighted with the entire experience! Note that you need to haul your luggage up a couple flights of stairs before you reach the lift. A small price to pay for a unique stay!

Sweet Room

Really nice hotel with a lot of its original charm. Very comfortable room and very quiet with double windows to keep the party goers noise out side when needed. Bar down stairs has great drinks and fun party atmosphere.

Place is crazy! Great location. Definitely party central. Unfortunately I upgraded and paid extra for a sauna that never became hot and did not get credit. That sucked. But the hotel was unique and cool and super fun.

Very nice stay at Pensão Amor. Great work by hotel owner to recreate environment / history of the place. Hotel is very central, room is quiet despite being on Pink Street and just above a quite lively bar. All in all, we had a great stay !

Amazing stay and Hotel.

Wonderful beautiful hotel. It is on a very busy street both during the day and night. You can expect noise and excitement well into the evenings early morning. They provide earplugs, have a kinky vibe and mellow atmosphere. Centrally located to everything within walking distance. I am a “pin up” fanatic and love vintage everything. This hotel has all of the decor of my dreams. Including artwork and photography of many beautiful women (and a few men) in various places around the bar/lounge and hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Interesting Stay

Our room was large and comfortable. There was some furnishings that were a little worn but it added to the experience. The location was excellent. Staff were helpful and pleasant. We seemed to arrive at a time that they were busy so our check-in took longer than usual and the reason not rated a 5. Communication was excellent. The parking was easy and close which since we had a car was great. You've got to have an open mind and go with the flow of the hotel.
