The room itself was very dirty (walks and floors), and the bathroom looked like the floor had never been washed. The rest of the hotel (reception and breakfast area) were very clean. Breakfast was very good. The area is walkable but I would not walk at night after the sun is gone. Overall would give this hotel 7/10

Great hotel. Lots to do around. Close to the downtown. The breakfast was great. The neighbourhood may have a sketchy feeling but everyone was great. Lots of entertainment around and walking distance to the downtown

The hotel was lovely. My room was spotless, and the decor was modern and well-maintained. The common areas were all spotless, and I appreciated having someone at the front desk 24/7. The breakfast was wonderful - plenty of hot and cold items available, as well as self-serve coffee options from a machine (cappuccino, etc.). The only negative thing I have to say is regarding the neighborhood. Yes, the hotel is reasonably close to public transit and some famous sites/areas, but the streets leading to the hotel are very dark, narrow and pretty deserted. I did not feel safe walking around the area at night as a female solo traveler. Had I been with one or two other people, I don't think I would have had an issue at all. I did appreciate having a quiet neighborhood to return to at the end of the evening - definitely not a loud, touristy area!

Great option in central Lisbon

Great boutique hotel in the centre of Lisbon. Walking distance to many of the attractions, yet a comfortable and quiet stay, with little late night noise. Breakfast was also nice.

Perfect for solo travellers.

Clean hotel with 4 floors of rooms. Very cosy and intimate location. Walkable to all major tourist sites. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I stayed here last year and booked again this year. The hotel is well located close to the old Town and just 5 mins from the subway. There are some nice restaurants in the niebourhood if you look around. The staff are friendly and the included breakfast is great

We had a lovely stay at Mouraria! The rooms were very nice and the service was great. We liked that it was walkable to the main downtown Lisbon areas. However, I would be careful if you are a lone traveler since we felt a little unsafe in the surrounding area.

While it is in an unusual location, up a narrow side street, and you have to talk from a parking garage to get to it, the hotel itself was excellent. Breakfast had a nice selection, everything was clean, staff was very helpful. Rooms are small, but if you just need a clean comfortable place to sleep, it is perfect.

Clean and well serviced hotel

Great hotel and definitely does not seem like a usual 2 star. Varied and plentiful breakfast. Clean rooms and serviced well. Have seen other comments about the area and would agree that it can be a bit intimidating late at night but it was manageable and we did not experience any problems. Travelled with my teenage daughter. Reception staff were extremely helpful!! Would stay here again.

The view on the fort/castle is great in the city view rooms. The neighbourhood is a bit roughter. Got almost robbed in the metro. But that can happen everywhere I guess.

We had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Moura during what was meant to be our 20th anniversary celebration. When we arrived around 4 PM, we were informed that our room’s air conditioner was not working—something the hotel was already aware of before our arrival. Unfortunately, since it was a busy weekend and all nearby hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay in a room that reached 92°F (33°C) overnight. To make matters worse, we witnessed the hotel manager yelling on the phone with one of the employees, frustrated and trying to explain that the air conditioner wasn’t working at all despite their efforts to fix it. The situation felt chaotic and unsettling. I reached out via email asking for a partial refund due to the missing amenity, but I received no reply—not even an apology. The way we were spoken to by some employees also felt dismissive and unprofessional. Sadly, the management’s lack of responsibility and empathy turned a special occasion into a very stressful night. I would not recommend staying here.

They would not budge on the 2;00 check-in time. We arrived off of a cruise ship at 7:30am and were told nothing could be done until 2:00. There is nothing open in the are that early so we were forced to wander the area until 9:00 am when the castle opened. They did take care of our bags to their credit. The bag area was full when we returned so I think this happened often. The street it is on is hilly and was difficult for two different cans to find. The Wi-Fi was excellent. Breakfast was good.
