Great location and such a beautiful boutique hotel. Really friendly staff. Would certainly return next time we visit Lisbon Restaurant was amazing food and really nice to sit out with the city and castle views in the evening.

The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I especially appreciated the warm welcome from the reception team. We absolutely loved the steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi in our room — a brilliant touch. We’d definitely book this hotel and the same room again the next time we’re in Lisbon. This is an excellent hotel, very well located in the old town. There are lots of restaurants in the area and it’s above the main shopping area. It is named after one of Portugal’s most famous authors and there is plenty to reflect this in the building. It’s good to see a business take pride in a national literary figure.
