"Only two issues at this hotel: The carpet was dirty to the point it felt dirty, and the picture for the room online showed a view from the windows of the bay. The room was in the back of the hotel and the window faced the wall of the walkway directly below, not facing the village or the bay. Was told by reception that I reserved a “village view” room, which I didn’t. Nowhere on the reservation did it ask me if I wanted a bay view or village view. Reception said there were no bay view rooms. For our 40th wedding anniversary this was our experience. At least we were able to see the Abbey. So, be careful when reserving and make sure you confirm your room’s location specifically. "

"Modern, clean and comfortable hotel in prime location within the old city walls. Staff members are competent and cordial. Negatives include a curbless shower that results in an almost entirely wet bathroom floor when used, a subpar buffet breakfast and difficult to maneuver parking garage."

"Perfect location at the island entrance. Close to the ramparts entrances including a 2nd floor exit at the back of the hotel directly onto the ramparts. Staff were very helpful and accommodating especially in handling our luggage before checkin and holding it after checkout until we departed. A quiet hotel and nice ambiance!"

"Location brilliant, good staff and room spacious. Could have done with shower curtain on bath, and bedside lights, and the curtains didn't quite shut properly, but it was very clean, lovely big comfy bed, free coffee and water, replenished daily and really good bathroom size and hot water whenever wanted."
