The room was lovely and staff fantastic The only 1 problem to amenities was access to rooftop bar and pool restricted until after 5pm unless you were staying in suite or junior suite

The deluxe junior suite we stayed in wasn’t very well designed. The dividing wall which include the TV made the room feel quite cramped. We were allocated a room which had no sunshine at all on our terrace. Service overall seemed a bit indifferent. The staff struggled to cope at breakfast with delivery of coffee taking ages. The rooftop pool is an oasis - quiet and sunnier than the main pool with plenty of beds. The main pool is busy and largely in shade by mid afternoon in winter! It was colder than we were expecting so do take warm clothes for those chilly evenings in January!

Absolutely wonderful hotel with attentive and service minded staff. Our superior room had a nice balcony and a comfortable bed. Make sure you add the delicious breakfast buffet to your booking. We will be back for sure!

Historic Hotel in the city

The hotel is lovely and staff are warm and welcoming. There is a pool on the roof which is great for a dip in the heat and a larger pool downstairs which was also great and never too crowded. We used the spa frequently and were delighted to find its use was free as we had booked a suite. We invested in a suite for this holiday as we were celebrating a special anniversary. Although the suite was spacious and comfortable, the way it was laid out with large wooden shutters separating the bedroom and sitting room that couldn't be moved made the bedroom dark with no window of its own.
