Любимый отель. Жаль, что закрывается.

Бывший Cumulus. Хороший отель, очень его любим. Жаль, что работает последний месяц и - на реконструкцию. Внутри все старое, но этим он и интересен. Последний раз мы были в нем 9 лет назад и ничего не изменилось. Также здорово сидеть в ресторане или заглянуть в бар. Очень приятный персонал. Номера очень чистые. Было немного прохладно, батареи едва тёплые, но нам без проблем дали второе одеяло. Приличный завтрак, хороший выбор. Раньше завтраки были лучше, но сейчас по всей Финляндии они стали заметно скромнее. Отель в самом центре городе. Оттуда приятно прогуляться в крепость или на озеро. Зона сауны бассейна требует обновления, но все работает без нареканий. Вода в бассейне прохладная. Парковка была совсем пустая в дни нашего проживания, не было пробоем. Буквально за углом кафе со шведским столом Rax, и кафе всемирно известной сети Tako bell

Pölyä?

Sain jotain oireita käytävän kokolattiamatosta, ja yöllä otin uuden tyynyn kaapista, huomatakseni aamulla että nenäni oli aivan tukkeessa ja vuoti verta. Eli vanha rakennus, pölyä, tyynyjen vaihtuvuus ei usein. Palvelu oli kuitenkin priimaa, jonka takia saattaisin mennä uudelleen.

Scandic Lappeenranta City 21.-22.7.2019

Parasta yöpymisessä oli ilmainen parkkipaikka ja asiallinen aamiainen. Huoneen yleisilme oli hyvinkin kulunut. Kahden hengen huoneessa oli yksi 140 cm leveä sänky, joka ei todellakaan tarjonnut mahdollisuutta rauhalliseen yöuneen. Negatiivinen yllätys oli myös, että Scandicin 50,- arvoiset lahjakortit eivät kelvanneet huoneen maksamiseen, koska huonetta ei oltu varattu suoraan Scandicilta. Olisimme kuvitelleet, että tällaisesta ehdosta olisi painettu varoitusteksti lahjakorttiin tai lahjakortin koteloon.

Hotels.com hat scheinbar nur die alten Hotels der SCANDIC-Gruppe gelistet, die jeweils neueren Häuser findet man bei www.hotels.com wohl nicht. Dieses Scandic Hotel in Lappeenranta ist so was von gestern. Fahrstuhl wie vor 100 Jahren. Zimmer ohne Aircondition, Fenster nicht zu öffnen. Als ich da war betrug die Lufttemperatur im Zimmer 30°C - ein erholsamer Schlaf geht so nicht. Im Frühstücksraum gibt es "versetzte" Ebenen, man muss fast 40 cm hohe Abstufungen in einem Schritt meistern. Ich war zuerst zufällig in das neuere SCANDIC Hotel in Lappeenranta geraten, leider nicht via hotels.com buchbar … Ich werde wieder in SCANDIC Hotels übernachten aber direkt über die SCANDIC Webseite buchen und nicht mehr über www.hotels.com

Yksi yö Lappeenranassa

Hotellissa ei ole ilmastointia, joten kuumalla säällä todella epämukava ja kuuma hotellihuone. Huoneessa ei myöskään ollut minibar kaappia, joten juomiakaan ei saanut kylmään. Katujen yöllinen meteli kuului huoneisiin.
