"Hotel is fine, nothing remarkable, but was clean. Be aware, though that there is no elevator so if you have lots of bags, you will have to carry them up the stairs."
"This historic hotel is a gem. From the friendly and welcoming staff, to a straightforward check in process, and the familiar perks of an Embassy Suites ensures a comfortable stay. Too often, visitors expect an unreasonable level of attention, response, and catering, and without needing that quality of service personally, I still received top notch service. Several car rental services are conveniently located across the street from hotel and within a few minutes walk to public transportation.
Rooms are tidy and cleaned daily so it’s better kept than living in my own personal home. Common areas are clean, and intentional including the lounge in the lobby, fitness center, indoor pool, entertainment room (games), and the dining room.
I would highly recommend the Embassy downtown for your future Portland stay. It’s a definitely a value and major go for families with young children."
"Clean room, facilities and comfortable bed/pillows! We looooove the architecture of this entire building and having it be attached to three dining/bar options is so nice. We can’t wait to come back!"
"The front desk situation at this hotel is pretty bad. There isn’t one. Just a weird lobby , and the people working have their backs to you so they don’t notice if you need something. One person in particular, who kind of looked like an angry Dua Lipa was very dismissive when I simply asked “is this the place to check in (after standing for 10 minutes) “yes, but it’s going to be awhile.” Was the response. This is too bad because the rooms were very nice. The rest of the staff was pretty good and the location is also decent. Just figure out that front desk situation and things would be much better."
"Hotel was clean and good sized. Close to restaurants. Close to airport and car rental return.
Staff was welcoming. Breakfast was excellent w/small lines and plenty of tables."
