"The listing was completely off. It stated daily housekeeping, on the beach, with laundry facilities, no mention of extra charges may be incurred regarding electricity use etc. When we brought this to the attention of the property manager, they corrected the ‘daily housekeeping’ but the last I looked the rest remained. They offered us an extra clean after one week with no additional charge. We did not have water nor electricity one day as something had broken. We could not use the pool for about 1 week as the pump was broken. Another day the water and electricity was off again and that was due to the city’s broken connection. The good side is the property manager was quick to deal with each issue and very pleasant. However, our stay there was less than optimal as we don’t want to have these issues. The apartment itself was very nice and the cleaning people were good. The pool had a maintenance company 2 x per week. I worked remotely and the Wi-Fi was okay. The beach is down the road. You have to cross a highway, walk along the highway for a bit and then go through a fence that is slightly ajar, with a sign posted private property-keep out. That’s your entrance. So, definitely nowhere near directly on the beach. The beach was lovely though with sunbeds (old) to rent and food and drinks on offer to purchase. To get anywhere, you have to make your way down the highway for about 1 kilometer before you get a sidewalk. Not ideal without a scooter."

Rooms good Gym good Spa decent / good Pools so-so Beach good Big grassy area Between hotel and beach good Noise factor so-so Dining mediocre Breakfast crowded / noisy / hot. Staff good Housekeeping good It is not a bad place and I might even go back. But I will definitely do a broader search next time to see if I can find a place a little more up the luxury scale. I did visit the Kimpton, W, and Vana Belle. I have to say I think all factors considered, this Centara is equal or better. And all other those are at higher price points. I reckon they exceed the Centara in some aspects, but overall, I stand by my opinion "

"The rooms are spacious but somewhat outdated, with limited storage space for clothes. The window frames are wooden and have gaps, which allowed mosquitoes to enter the room; we had to block them with tissues. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of fresh fruits."

"Booked two rooms with a jacuzzi. We were unable to use the jacuzzi because it was so bad. The plug hole was rusty . One of the jets was broken and the head rest was dirty. The sunloungers around the pool were stained. The railings around the property all needs replacing. The staff were absolutly amazing and our room was clean. We were booked in for 6 days buy left on our 3rd day. "

"Amazing double aspect views of the Ocean. A very calm, clean and relaxing hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast and dinner at Dr Frogs were excellent and tasty. The pool was has views towards Chaweng Nioi and there is access to the sea via the rocks rather than a beach. If you do prefer a more sandy entry to the water, the hotel is a short 5 min walk to the southern end of the beach at Chaweng Noi, where you can also find other places to eat and drink. "

"Pleasant staff and clean rooms. Although blinds in the room not very efficient as it feels anyone can see through when lights are on. Need a few more choices of food on half board basis. Need a few more sunbeds around the pool."
