"Getting to the hotel by the limousine bus was easy because it’s on the bus drop off route. The check in was quick. There were so many people in the lobby checking in, so it felt overwhelming after a long journey. The room was small but that’s expected in most Japanese hotels. The bed wasn’t comfortable for me, the mattress wasn’t thick enough. We didn’t choose breakfast as it was rather expensive, but there’s a 711 on the basement level that had very good choices for food, snacks etc.
The hotel is within 7-8 minutes of covered walking to the busy Shinjuku station, so it’s convenient to everything."
"This hotel was a 7min walk feom the shinjuku station. It seems like a good area with the except of the first night where there was a sketchy guy hanging out by the street vending machines.
We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the hotel as there were many authentic places to walk to in the area.
At check-in and check-out you will need to complete this on your own but there is an agent who is there to help. However i did find that they were very impatience and trying to rush you at check-in. Not the best experience, if you want me to do the check-in myself then let your customer do it on their own unless they ask for your assistance or at least let them pull up all the information that is required before rushing them.
Beware that this hotel does not have a safe in your room. Throughout our trip in Japan we kept our passports on us. Your luggage can slide right under the bed. For heading back to the Narita airport we paid for the hotel transport. This was miss leading on the site as it came across that the hotel had a free transportation to and from the airport but this was actually a separate company that runs the transportation.
For toiletries, you need to go to lobby right infront of the elevators and select what you want. This was very convenient.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with just knowing what to expect at the hotel with no safe, and sometimes at night by the vending machines you sometimes could experience weirods around the street."
"Just terrific in every way. Staff was great, room was all we needed. Great shower with lots of pressure and we loved being beside the park. Get the breakfast! Very glad we picked this place. Will definitely stay here again."
"Excellent 1 week stay at Metropolitan! The hotel is perfectly located, in front of the station and with shops, restaurants and the underground food markets. Breakfast is just amazing and delicious, a great way to start your sooo busy days! We even used the laundry room to wash underwear! The room was clean and spacious enough to relax after a day of adventures — with bread or cakes from their bakery ;)
My #1 hotel in Tokyo!"
