The views from this place are beautiful ! Lovely pool and good breakfast , Nice and clean . The only fault I found was the old towels were smelly when wet . Some new towels would be great !

Beautiful property that we stayed at for 7 days. Perfect location, and beautiful Villas. My only negative comment is that our television didn’t work from day 1, and after repeated requests to have it fixed, nothing was done.

Great family trip to Shankara Parada Villas
Can only recommend a stay at Shankara in Lipah, we had three days there as a family of four, and wish we could stay longer. The villas are new and clean, and the pool area is beautiful and with a great view of the beach! Very friendly and helpful staff (when we could not find a taxi to Ubud, one of the staff took his father’s car and drove us himself..)

Amazing in every aspect snorkeling off the beach in shallow water so you don’t have to be a good swimmer. We have booked for 9days again next year.

The view was incredible! Delicious breakfast, coffee and friendly staff. Loved the shower and that each room had their own shower/toilet. Didn’t use the kitchen because food was too good around us but nice that we had a filtered water dispenser. The staff was very nice and helpful, arranged a car for us. The pool was wonderful! Refreshing and a few times at dusk we got treated to some little bats which was very cool to watch. Location is good for snorkeling, beach, restaurants and again the view. Cons— not much, except the living room area not the most comfortable but we were outside 99% of the time The stairs could be difficult to climb for some older/less fit folks The walk to the shipwreck was a bit far but completely manageable. Lots of interesting/cool shops/restaurants near by. Beautiful villa. Only few units so a nice intimate stay.

Amazing views and so peaceful and quiet. Rooms were large and clean and the 2 bedroom Villas even had a kitchen so great for families.

This was our favorite room from our whole trip! You really can not beat the view! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They had motorbikes waiting for us upon request and took care of everything. We'll definitely be returning next year!

Spectacular view from the room/terrace
We were stunned by its view upon arriving at our room, it's unobstructed ocean and pool view, perfect for a quiet getaway. We also like the small kitchen inside the room, nice to put all food/drinks we brought.

Great location! Beautiful views from room, pool and restaurant. Bed was big and firm although looking up and seeing dirt and bugs sitting on top of the bed net was not great. Bathroom was old and needed some work including quite a bad smell from drains. Curtains need to be blockout fabric as it was light in room from outside pathway and pool lights.good kitchen with adequate fridge and cooking facilities. Right opposite best snorkeling in Amed!

Second time we booked at this hotel and this second stay was even better than the first time. Because this time all air con in all rooms were working very well. The staff was very nice especially when we forgot few diving things and swim suits and they manage to find us a driver to deliver our stuff to our hotel in Ubud. The view from the hotel is just amazing. We will come back to Amed and will book again at the Shankara for sure! The only thing that is not properly provided is shampoo. Once you’re aware of it you just bring your own shampoo and enjoy your stay at Shankara!

V nice hotel , great ocean view from balcony! Close to Lipah beach with excellent snorkeling! The grounds , the pool also fantastic! Quiet place . The only suggestion is to put regular sofa in the living room instead of wooden frame uncomfortable loveseat.

The best thing is the exclusive view on beach and ocean. The restaurant provide clean and good food But Wifi is very slow with weak signal and phones may not find signal at all at some parts of the room. Almost you will have no wifi experience. I asked to fix it but no one has done anything. Most of staff doesn't speak english very well. No tea or coffee in the room like previous hotels we stayed.

A lovely hotel
This was a lovely hotel with excellent service. I would definitely recommend Amed, it’s a quieter beach but with lots of activities available. The hotel is spotless, with lovely attentive staff, it’s one of the best hotels/villas in the area.

Beautiful villas and views
The villas are breathtaking, the views are to die for and the villas are very big and modern with charm. The pool was an ideal temperature and had a gorgeous outlook over the sea, perfect place to cool off in the heat. The beach is only a 2minute walkdown by steps where you can snorkel right off the beach which was a lot of fun. The only thing that dampened our stay was the service, the guys with our bags were excellent and always friendly but the girls who lay in the dining area all day on their phones never really had a smile or a welcome about them. The wifi strength was poor and I think it's down to the staff using their phones constantly whilst sitting there, as it picked up at night once they'd left! The breakfast wasn't great but I think that's a reflection of the Lipah area (quite basic). However, I would stay again as the setting and villas were so beautiful.

Stunning place!!!
We loved our 4 night stay. Friendly helpful staff. Stunning views, lovely pool area. Comfortable room, we particuliarly enjoyed the partial outside shower! Beautiful snorkeling right infront of the hotel. Everything about this little hotel was perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay, just wished we could stay for another week or two. I have to mention that I would not suggest this Hotel for anyone who has difficulty with climbing stairs. Another suggestion would be to have beverage packs in the room. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back!

Very nice hotel with amazing view of Lipah Beach. Good, friendly staff, always cleaning up, watering the gardens etc. Good breafasts and meals in the restaurant. Largest room we've had in Indonesia and beautiful bathroom.

Lovely hotel!
Very nice hotel! It looks as amazing as on the photos. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Check-in was fast, no problems. I stayed in a room that was a private small house, consisted of bedroom, bathroom (hot shower) and kitchen. Nice views to pool area and beach. 15-20 minute walk to shops, restaurants are close by. Free continental breakfast (made to order), food is humble but good. I loved my stay at this hotel and I would recommend it to others!

Great view, peace and close to beach
We were family of four, parents with youngster kids. Stayed at Shankara for 12 nights in total and really loved the place. Service, pool, breakfast all super. And of course the view for the ocean, beach, and Agung were amazing! It's a long drive from tourist hassle but worth it!

A fantastic place to stay
Lipah is probably the best stop in Amed. The beach is lovely, the water itself is amazing to swim in with the great plus that is good snorkeling. The view from Shankara Parada as the sun set is beguiling to say the least. Lovely aesthetics in terms of the building, gatden and green surrounds. I will bring a fine bottle of wine next time and a good friend or two to share this beatiful place with. The staff, especially the young man Ketut, are excellent, attentive and i thought genuinely friendly. Only stayed 2 nights and didnt get a feel for the best restaurants and warungs but I will come back for sure. It was a little noisy from construction of additional villa and restaurant, but that was during the day. Expected to be done by June

Paradise in Amed
What an amazing villa this was. The villa was huge and the view next to none. The pool was amazing to swim in with the view of the ocean. It's atop cliffs so the view is great. You can walk to beach however I didn't go there. Day bed on balcony was super for chilling and listening to the ocean. I loved it here! I want to go back!
