"everything was great!"

"We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. We didn’t know they were undergoing renovations, and that meant the gym was closed during our visit. They also charge for wifi, and a $50 resort fee per day for “amenities” that were largely closed during our visit due to bad weather. While I totally understand they can’t control the weather, charging people for it when everything is closed is in poor taste. When I inquired about it, they said it goes towards things like the coffee in the room and sunscreen at the pool (pool was closed the whole time, and coffee? That’s a normal inclusion at any other hotel. Some of the staff were helpful and some were not. The servers at Dukes were lovely, as was the breakfast buffet (albeit pricey). The valet was great. Some of the front desk were great and some were not. Overall, it was just an ok hotel. If I was to stay again in Waikiki I’d pick the beachcomber across the street with better facilities and friendlier staff."

"More on the budget side of hotels. Rooms are aged, not cleanly, not enough seating even for a family of 3. However, staff is very friendly, and the amenities are plentiful. Two minute walk to the beach and shopping. "

"Room was clean. One of the guys upfront was great! The other was not so nice. Room service was very kind. Water was outside our door which was from the outside door being opened. We were offered to switch rooms the last night of our stay and those people were very nice. The nice guy up front was one of them. :)"

"The other rooms , It would have been better if they put a table with chairs outside the sliding door. It’s nice to sit outside during the night One of the lady staff made it a huge/big deal when I asked for an extra bottle of water. The room fridge or cooler was not working . When you advertise the amenities , pls make sure they are actually working. "

"We loved our stay at Embassy Suites! Although during our stay, one of the elevators was down and it took some time going to our room and getting down. However, the staff were really friendly! We loved the free breakfast and were surprised at the type of food offered (bacon, eggs, omelet station) The pool was kid friendly and goes up to 4ft and they offered pool noodles for the kids to use. I’m not sure if they normally have a lifeguard on duty but when we were there, there was none so please keep watch of your kids if they don’t. The rooms and bathroom were clean. Beds were comfy. Shower pressure was good. We loved the separate living room area as there was ample space for our kids to play around. There are a lot of shops around and loved that the Royal Hawaiian Shopping center was right across from the hotel. This was a 2-night staycation for our family for the weekend and we will definitely come back for another! "
