It's a nice place, the service was great and the staff very helpful, we enjoyed our stay will definitely go back though there was a lot of noise from corridor. But its good place very clean and neat.

Road Lodge South gate

The Road Lodge had no record of my booking and after 20 minutes reloaded my booking. I am not sure who's fault this is? The room was fine and the staff very polite. There was a shortage of staff in the kitchen which resulted in waiting time of 90 minutes for a meal.

Why Road Lodge Southgate?

The front desk staff was excellent. After my online booking did not show up on the PC, they assured me they would sort it out and even allowed me to go to my room while they were addressing the issues. They were friendly and professional and always maintained eye contact when you were in the room, letting you know they would help!

I feel like they can improve on some few things like dining the stuff shouldn't wait for the food on the buffet to run out before they refill it and they should regularly check whats missing on the buffet Reception stuff should respond in time for requests

I always enjoy staying at Southgate Road Lodge. However, I was not pleased at all with the Malta pudding I ordered. It was rubbering and I only ate the custard, which was excellent. The reception staff compensated me by reducing my bill by the R70 price of the Malta. Other than this incident, am happy.
