Clico was great! It used to be a mansion now converted to a hotel, which gave it a personal feeling. The staff was very friendly and willing to help out in any way possible. The food was AWESOME! The Seabass and Pork Belly dishes were the best. The rooms were spacious with all the comforts you need.
On the flip side, there are some things which could be improved and one may just pertain to me. First, there is no wall separating the bathroom and the room. There is only a wall divider. I'm ok with it unless if the other person is not feeling well if you know what I mean, or else the smell would be awful. Second, when I check in to a hotel, I like to head to my room and relax. Unfortunately, the welcome letter in the room with instructions to the wifi network were incorrect. Therefore, I had to call the front desk to assist. That's when the typo was discovered. Third, every day I was in Joburg, was planned to the hour. The exception was the last day when I freed half a day so I could enjoy the pool. When I got to the hotel, I found out there was a wine and cheese tasting event being hosted at the hotel and therefore the pool was off limits. There was no posting or communication about this event so I wasted half a day in my room. Finally, this is just me I think, I like the room to be cool and the AC in the room was not strong enough for me. There were a couple of nights when I woke up sweating.
Regardless, I did enjoy my stay.
