二度目の滞在でしたがスタッフがとてもフレンドリーで良かったです。レストランが一か所なので朝、昼、夕とも同じ場所なのですが今回は朝食がブッフェスタイルになっていてメニューもリニューアルされていました。のんびりできました。

Like a second home but its in Lombok. Staff are welcoming. The place encourages a great community of surfers and kiters. Stay here, surf, relax, eat.

Given the remote location, the hotel was very comfortable. There were small things that could have been improved on, such as the bedding situation, which you were only provided a thin sheet.

Disappointed

Overall we found the food very basic and over priced. The pool wasn’t clean, nor the bathrooms really. Friends we were there with had rats in there room. The layout and area to relax is nice and the staff were very friendly. Just a shame everything else wasn’t up to scratch. We left a day early as we were dissatisfied and knew we could get better at Yuli’s in Kuta.

快適でした。

快適に過ごせました。スタッフも皆ちゃんとしてます。 1日2回潮のいい時間に合わせてサーフィン送迎あり。付いている朝食は量が少なめ。レストランの味はまあまあですが、全般的に高いです。バイクを借りて近くを散策しましたが綺麗な海以外何もありません。悪路でした。

Hidden Gem in East Lombok

I was with a small group of co-workers on a work trip for a couple of days in East Lombok. We wanted to find someplace to stay closer to the project area rather than staying out by the airport. I found Ekas Breaks on Hotels.com and booked our rooms for two nights. It was a real hidden gem! The bungalows were comfortable and the pool and landscaping was well designed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (especially the manager, Heru). And, we were really pleased with the food. It was nice to able to order what seafood we wanted for dinner the night before so the kitchen staff could buy it fresh the next day. The roads to get to Ekas are challenging, but it's worth the effort if you are looking for a place to stay in East Lombok.

Nice secluded resort to unplug

Came solo to Ekas for relaxation and deep sleep after long stressful weeks. Good choice, what's with nice environment and away from tourists, if that's what you are looking for. However, be prepared to have limited access to wifi in rooms(I was in Room 10, and most often than not, the internet's not working. You need to hangout at the cafe for good wifi), and no connection to your mobile in most areas, the hotel and its surrounding). I wanted to rest but wasn't able to be totally disconnected. Also, if you are a girl and need hairdryer, please bring yourself. The services and food prices are rather steep given that its location provides no other choice. There was no restaurants or other service providers nearby Ekas Breaks. It is sharp contrast from Senggigi and Kuta areas. Other than that I just love the environment, almost untouched and the nice aesthetics of its room.

Limpo e organizado. Difícil acesso.

Know you travel style

The staff here is tops, the place is lovely, but be mindful of your travel style when you commit. We found in Kuta that accommodation prices are much less, renting surfboards were ~$4/24 hours, Ekas' were $10/session, boat trips from Kuta to the same spots near Ekas were ~$23/boat no matter how many people were aboard, as opposed to $10/person even if the boat has 10 people, from Ekas. Scooters in Kuta were ~$4/day. They rent scooters at Ekas, though it's unsafe to leave your bike unattended (even on the beach when you're surfing) and the roads are undriveable in some areas, so you come to depend on their shuttles. Surfing was finished by 11ish each morning, and wind makes afternoon sessions near impossible, so you are left to your devices until you fall asleep each night. Sitting by the pool became a little dry (no pun intended) quickly. They do offer trips to pink beach and beyond, but again, it's pricey. Because of the location, you have no option but to dine in their restaurant 3 meals a day, and have no kitchen access or grocery places in the area. We appreciated the independence we had in Kuta to walk down the road to heaps of restaurants, bars, shopping places, and with quick scooter access to hidden beaches and viewpoints otherwise inaccessible from Ekas. The resort is great for those looking for a particular experience, but we found it a little too enclosed for us.

Quite beautiful but overpriced once you're in

We had a four night stay at Ekas which for us was a bit too long as it was such a secluded area you really had to rely on the hotel for everything. We are not 'resort' people so we found this tricky, especially as prices were higher in the hotel than outside it (at least double). Unhelpful to the point of ridiculous to list prices in USD and sometimes IDR then you pay in Swiss franc if you pay by card?! I would say most of the staff at the bar and restaurant and cleaning were very lovely and couldn't have done more for us.
