"I stumbled across this hotel when planning a road trip. The themed rooms seemed funny and kitschy. My husband loved the idea of them, so I booked it. We stayed in the jungle room. It was very dark and a bit dingy. The light switches were hard to find with some having no apparent purpose. The stone floor felt dirty at all times. My husband was very interested in bathing in the large tub. However, the jets did not work and appeared unclean. Jet baths like this need deep cleaning and can be difficult to do. They don’t seem to be doing that here. The property is cleanish. There are mismatched tables and chairs around the pool that aren’t cleaned regularly. Table bases without tops are scattered around. The hot tub was only lukewarm. WiFi service was terrible. Because we work when we travel, this was a big negative. The staff are friendly and helpful. The shower and linens were clean. The bed was comfortable. We wanted to like this hotel, but it fell short. The biggest disappointment was the cost. You have certain expectations at this price point and they did not meet them. Not worth to cost."

"Bedding was dirty and smelled disgusting. The pools are dirty and not maintained or cleaned properly. Don't let the pictures convince you, they are all fake and deceiving. The property management are nice but they look sketchy and they have no idea how to run a business. The place is run down and old. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me!"

"Spacious clean rooms, well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Our unit had a lovely view over the valley for both sunrise and sunset. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The property was peaceful and quiet. The pool and hot tub are on an adjacent property - a short walk or quick drive. Now for the not-so-good: * The property sends out detailed instructions via the Expedia app a few days in advance. Make sure you print out these instructions or at least take note as there is no cell reception at the building. You also have to follow a link to register in advance. We were camping in the desert before this so we didn't get the emails or have access to register. * Getting there is a bit confusing: Follow directions to The Bungalows (Google Maps is correct). Ignore signs for "Office", because this is for the retreat center, not the accommodations. There is a small standalone building on the actual Bungalows property (not labeled "office") where there was a helpful person working during business hours. She was able to provide the wifi password so I could complete the online registration process * The online registration process requires you to upload a photograph of your credit card and ID. This is a major privacy and information security concern and risks exposing your information to identify theft. I would strongly recommend that the property implement a more secure mechanism for capturing registration information."

"This property used to be old apartments which is great because it had a tub, most newer hotel do not have tubs. Rooms where spacious and clean. I stayed in 2nd building which was off the main street. I liked that. It was easy trip up the road to Pappy's & Harriets. I slept well in this place. It has a microwave and refrigerator. I would have given it a 5 star if property was newer."

"this place is amazing. stop and book a room now. been going to desert hot springs for 25 years and this was my first time at the Springs… and i wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! the rooms are clean decorated very well. kitchen room has everything you need. staff are phenomenal @ checking the give you a tour and assist you to your room. mineral pools are magical. courtyard is laid out for guest comfort and privacy. Saunas are therapeutic. I had a spa service and my goodness it felt magical. very professional and courteous. can’t wait to go back and try a sound bath."
