"Our stay at Shiomachi Roya in Tomonoura was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. I was impressed by the renovations done to turn this old merchant house into an inn. I liked the design and decor. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. He didn't speak much English, but he had a detailed book about the place with pictures and explanations in English. The place was so Quaint and over 100 years old, but we'll maintained and clean with modern amenities. The futon and bedding were very comfortable.
