It was perfect for what it was, a one night stopover on a long trip. Excellent price point for the area. Location was good, close to the gorgeous parkway along the river. It was important for us to have a large, safe area to park truck with trailer and a place that accepted dogs. They are in the process of renovating, what they've done is nice. The breakfast was typical motel fare, no hot foods other than a toaster and waffle maker. I'm not a picky or high end tourist - the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. No fancy towels required.

The breakfast was minimal but ok. Room was clean and well located. However, there was a low level hum noise that was intermittent and annoying. The TV would not work because it was a "smart" TV and required something like an Amazon Prime account to use (which I'm not going to attach to a hotel TV). A screw was missing from the door jam locking plate which made the door less secure. We told staff about these things. They couldn't get the TV to work but offered to move us to a room with one that "might" work. But we were already settled and didn't think it was worth the extra work. For the other things the would just say they will look into it (but I bet they didn't).

This is not the nicest Super 8. Our room on the second floor was ok but it could use a refresh. The outside doors to the motel didn't lock which concerned me. There were cracked windows on the first floor and garbage stacked up by a shed- no dumpster. The landscaping was dead around the building. Just not up to today's standards for a Super 8. The beds and pillows were clean & comfy. The breakfast was sufficient but not like the other Super 8 we just stayed at in Custer SD. Oh and the TV system they just put in didn't work for us.The reception desk guy was very nice and got the TV onto the internet for us but then our usual channels were not available unless you subscribe to Netflix, Hulu etc. but then of course you would have to log out before driving away or the next guest could continue to use your access. That is not acceptable.

the staff was rude, from the moment we arrived. The lady at the desk, didn't greet us, There were 3 people behind the desk, so the amount of staff wasn't the issue. She did however have time to Yell at the cleaning staff! The property was under construction, and we had to walk through an active area to get to the elevator. That evening I walked down to the desk to report that the TV screen was jumping, and that the remote wasn't working. The man who was working the desk was outside, so I walked out and told him what the issue was, He gave big sigh, and said that TV's and remotes had been having issues all night. but he followed me to my room, tried to adjust it, and then said thats as good as it's going to get. the breakfast room had missing sheet rock, that exposed the studs, Such a violation of safe food service.Too many violations to list. The most friendly of the workers were the cleaning ladies.they treated us with a smile. the room was clean, and somewhat comfortable. but blackout curtains didn't have a return, so they let in a lot if light! As for the breakfast, there was no juice, thrown area to make a waffle had no sheetrock behind it, possibly allowing construction dust and debree to get into the food. If a property is under a remodel, and there is active construction going on, it should be disclosed before booking is complete. I would never recommend this property to any one. PLEASE BE ADVISED , CHOOSE SOMEPLACE ELSE!

Not worth the price

First arrived sink was clog, which they did fix right away, housekeeper never came, we had to ask front desk for clean towels, toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, soap. Light in bathroom kept turning off while in bathroom, told front desk, never got fix, at one point our key stop working couldn't get in front desk fix it. Staff was nice.
