The place was older but clean. No carpeting. Bathtub had hot water. If we stayed again I would probably use a fan to mask the noise outside. All the noise I heard was cars coming or going. It was a good price so hey. Couldnt get the tv to work and there was no deadbolt on our door. But I would probably do again.

Worth the price you pay for the stay, overall.

The overnight staff was very friendly and checked us in quickly, even though we arrived very late. The bed itself was comfortavle but there were only two pillows and they were very flat and not comfortable. Our only other issues were that the bathroom door was hard to close, so it probably needs a good sanding, and the out door wasn't sealed the greatest (we could.see loght around the edges) and it caused the AC to run loudly and constantly. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Never again

When I arrived at the hotel its appearance was terribly run down. There were 2 beds sitting in the parking lot which was so difficult to drive through because of its poor condition. The desk staff spoke no english and tried to utilize a translation method on their phone which was not accurate. I had reserved a room with 2 double beds. Upon check in I was told they only had a king room with 1 bed. This would not work for me as I had myself and 2 daughters with me. They then sent me to another hotel several miles away and further from my needed destination promising the same rate. Upon arriving there the front desk clerk knew nothing about me coming. Luckily she did honor the rate. The room at the new hotel The Hutchibell smelled clean when we walked in, despite the run down and dirty hallway carpets. The bathtub and toilet water ran all night with no way pf stopping it. The tv and remote were not working well. It was a one night stay for state fair so my girls and I slept and left early in the morning. We did find 1 cockroach in the room. Half way home my faughter discovered she uad left her favorite stuffed animal in the room. I called and they insisted I was in a different room than I had stated and said I have to call back tomorrow to see if housekeeping found it or not. Meanwhile I have a very upset child. So now I have ordered a nee stuffed animal for her and wonder if calling would even be worth it tomorrow being the 2nd day after checkout.

Worst experience

They did not have a room for us, did not speak English, sent us to another hotel that did not have a/c and had bed bugs. Would not give back money said no refunds. Will be contacting Hutchinson City Hall about Hutchi Bell.

They did not speak English and we had to use google translator to communicate. They gave us a room key that didn’t work, and the room was occupied because we heard the double bolt click from the inside of the room as we tried to get in from the outside. They refused to give us a refund or a room. Horrible customer service. They tried to send us to another hotel that closed up 3 years ago saying we wouldn’t have to pay to stay there.

This hotel was horrible. When checking in, they said they didn’t have rooms available and they sent us to another hotel. This hotel we tried to check into had yucky mattresses leaning against the outside of the building. Attendant spoke no English. The hotel they sent us to told us they had rooms but they had no air conditioning. It was over 90 degrees out. We were without a hotel for the night. We had to travel 30 more miles to get a hotel. They treated us like gold.

Loved the pool! Person who checked us in only spoke spanish and used google translate. However area was quiet and room was exactly what youd expect for the price, even better if its not a busy weekend and price is cheaper.

So much happened in a short time that it’s hard to explain, the employees were doing their best with the situation at hand, I just wish there was more communication through the hotel system in the future.

Avoid at all cost

They cancelled our room and didn’t tell us. I called 3 times to confirm everything was good prior to arriving and still didn’t have a room when we showed up. I didn’t have high hopes considering location and cost but it was literally a last minute reservation and nothing else was available in town. The front desk lady had a serious attitude, didn’t speak English, which is fine, but don’t also be rude to me when I’m just trying to check in. She literally slid a note across the counter and said “I don’t know, go here”. Apparently this hotel has a habit of overbooking and then sending people to another shady hotel in town because when I arrived at the other hotel, the front desk lady wasn’t surprised, also wasn’t very nice and said usually she gets a heads up notice when one hotel is sending people over to her hotel. All this to say, just don’t waste your time with this hotel. Drive the 20-30 minutes to another town.

We enjoy the small family that runs this hotel so we've been here for almost 3 weeks now and they do a good job to do what we request when we ask for the most part. Very clean good service. Thank you so much, from your guests in room 136 !

Booked a week in advance and when we got there they sold our rooms out from under us and didn't have any other rooms available. This place is also Spanish only at the front desk. No other places in town has availability and we had to drive 40 minutes to the nearest hotel with availability. 0 stars!

Crappy motel in Hutchinson.

Television broken. Not told ahead of time. Floors were filthy. Dirt and dead bugs. I asked about a partial refund. And was told there was no way to issue any type of refund or to charge less. Said it was the Only room they had available. No electric outlet in the bathroom. We have water flossers that we could not use. The door had to be slammed hard to close. And pushed hard to open. HOTELS.COM should be ashamed to have this motel on your list. Clerk did not speak any type of English and I don’t speak Spanish.

This place was one of those places you cannot believe is allowed to remain open. They first booked a room that was “not” available. The only other room had no TV, the bed sheets were stained, and people were loitering around their open doors. The person at the “front desk”, sitting behind what looked like bullet proof glass could not speak ANY English and was having to use Google Translate to talk to me.. Honestly this was the worst property I have ever seen and we drove an additional 30+ miles to stay at a cleaner, safer, better place.
