Our recent stay at Platinum Inn & Suites was unfortunately underwhelming. While the location is convenient—especially for those visiting the NASA Space Center—the overall experience left much to be desired.
Cleanliness & Housekeeping:
The bathroom in our room was only cleaned once during our entire 3-night stay, which was disappointing and below basic hospitality standards.
Breakfast Service:
Breakfast is available from 7 to 9 AM but is very limited in both quality and variety. To make matters worse, the juice machine is shut off promptly at 9:00 AM, even if guests are still in the dining area. During our visit, around 15 people were still seated and couldn’t access any drinks, which was frustrating.
Amenities:
The hot tub was out of order during our stay, with no clear communication about when it would be repaired.
Connectivity Concerns:
A particularly troubling issue was the complete lack of cell service within the building. It appeared that signal was being blocked, encouraging guests to use the hotel’s Wi-Fi instead. This raised major concerns about privacy and potential cybersecurity risks.
Security Issues:
The side entry doors were not locking properly, which is a serious safety concern. Only the back entrance required a key card for access.
In summary, while the hotel has potential due to its location, there are several operational and safety issues that need to be addressed to improve the guest experience.
