  • The smaller of the two lagoons. I saw this one first and it was amazing. It was off to feel like your driving in the middle of no where and then, boom, amazing glacier lagoon! Lol. I couldn't decide which boat tour to do so I chose to do both (at each lagoon). For the tour I actually liked this one better. Cozier, the guide seemed more knowledgeable, and the mountain backdrop was better. Definitely go hang out at the other lagoon on the beach, but I'd vote do the tour at this lagoon. Love the reflections!!! This was approx 3pm in June. O and I don't recommend if you want to try both tours to do them back to back. The lagoons are only 10km/10min from each other, but this tour went over for me so I missed the other one and had to reschedule it for the morning. Good thing I was staying nearby. #waterlust

The hotell reminded me of a cozy family run supper club and hotel you might find in the american midwest. It is not new but very clean and great, great service and hospitality.

This hotel was a little pricier than most of the places my husband and I stayed at on our two-week trip, but it was probably our favorite place. The hotel has a fun style, and our dinner and breakfast were really yummy. The staff was super friendly, and our room was nice and big with a great bed and shower.

A nice cozy option for an overnighter

This is a functional hotel for couples for an overnight stay enroute to East Iceland on route 1. Breakfast was quite adequate and 24x7 freshly brewed coffee, tea and hot water is a great option for tired tourists needing it without using the processed packets that is common in most hotels. Location and view is great. Shower area is constrained as is common in most Iceland hotels and Airbnbs.

Overall, everything was good. The local breakfast was excellent and really enjoyable. The only downside was the internet access — it was only available in the common area, not in the rooms. If that’s improved, it would be perfect.

This hotel is a beautiful location with spacious rooms and nice bathrooms! The common areas and the restaurants are filled with cool things to look at! The food for breakfast was tasty and there were many options. We also had dinner and dessert there which was a highlight of our trip!
