We had a great stay, really pleased with our room which was quiet and comfortable. Amazing cooked breakfast this morning. Would definitely stay again!

Overnight stay

Very competitively priced and that's why we chose it. Clean and adequate sized rooms with garden view. Got welcomed and the rooms are in a quiet building at the back of the pub. Would have been fine for one but the bed wasn't comfy for two - thin mattress and sinks down to the middle so is a curve.

Excellent Staff + Breakfast, Room not so good.

The room left alot to be desired. the shower was broken, it kept stopping, going cold, and leaked out around the shower head. Strong smell of cigarette smoke all night. Paper thin walls where you can hear everything that goes on in the rooms around you. Bed was very uncomfortable. However, the staff were excellent, very friendly and the breakfast was great.

Disappointing stay but cheap.

The hotel was cheap but our room had multiple problems and not very clean. The Tv failed to switch on with the remote. The en suite was designed for a disabled guest but the low placement of the mirror meant it was difficult to shave without crouching down. The sink was far too small and the tap moved so that it had to be steadied with one hand and turned off with the other. My wife had to wear a jumper to sleep because the room was so cold.

I cannot fault the staff at breakfast, they were attentive & breakfast was good. However the rooms are dated, bits on my floor. Unfortunately my daughter’s room had a wet bathroom floor, leaky shower & there were skid marks in the toilet. Cleanliness needs to be looked at & this could be a nice place to stay as located in a lovely area.

I liked the cosy, comfortable atmosphere also the quiet...About the room... Disappointed by a couple of maintenance issues, though. The toilet flush wasn't very effective in fact the handle was loose and almost hanging off!! Also, the window catch was not securely fixed and could easily have come right away at the slightest touch...Incidentally, I couldn't get the shower head to depress sufficiently and ended up soaking the bathroom floor!!!

Room was fine for the price but it sadly has bed bugs. Woke up the morning of my stay covered in bites. Tried to resolve direct before leaving in a review but no response. Hopefully this will initiate some action to resolve.

Great little place

The wonderful lady that greeted us was friendly and had a good sense of humour. She showed us to our room which was spotlessly clean. We had dinner which she also cooked and breakfast again cooked by this true asset to the pub. A pleasant stay for a wedding just a short walk away. Was it the Ritz? No, but we didn’t pay for the Ritz. Would recommend.

Affordable, value-for-the-money accommodation with hearty (extra cost but affordable) breakfast. Room comfortable with snug ensuite facilities. Friendly staff. No restaurant except Fridays and Saturdays, but curry and Pizza/Chicken takeaways within walking distance; residents can bring meals back to eat in the bar. Small health and safety warning - the steps and handrail leading to the accommodation block need attention - nothing a couple of hours with some mortar and bolts couldn't fix. Unfortunate that they haven't been!

Please stay away!! For the amount that I have paid is not worth it!! The room was very dirty, spiderwebs everywhere in the room, no soap or shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. Very cold in the room they haven’t open the heath. The carpet was very dirty plenty of stains on it. In the pub I order a drink and the glass that I was served were disgustingly dirty. This hotel only worth £30 / night, not even that. So, so , so unpleasant PLEASE STAY AWAY
