The room was very clean and we enjoyed the pool and kayaking. However given how rainy the climate is and how often the pool is usable during the whole year, we would have preferred to have a hot tub. Otherwise the resort is one of a kind, we were amazed by the view and how incredible the staff was.
We have been wanting to come here for years. It disappointed on a few fronts. Cabin #4 looked nice on the outside. Inside was a different story. Very worn. Floor and furniture showing signs of water damage and just lacking the small details that make a stay comfortable. We should have read the reviews. As we weren’t the only ones that felt the same way. We don’t normally leave reviews. The price and what you receive for it didn’t align. The location was lone bright spot.
We loved our stay here for the stunning location , excellant reception and service, pool and ocean swimming, massage and standard comfortable room in the hotel itself. We found the restaurant overrated on the actual dinner, breakfast was excellant.
LOVE the resort. The tents were beautiful, I have never been camping, and was made fun of never been camping, so this is my first version of glamping (lol, I know it's not).
We spend the night because it was my birthday, the tent was very romantic, we walked the premise down to the water edge, had dinner at the resort, smores for dessert by the fire, bubble bath in the huge tub. It was amazing.
The ONLY thing I would change is the fire place instructions, us old folks can't bend down to read that instructions, and even with the instructions can't find the dial for the longest time, so maybe better instructions not on the very bottom of the fire place?
Amazing experience. Hotel was great, we were able go sign out kayaks and enjoy the private dock. Staff are also very friendly.
Only suggestion is to update the pool area as it could be set up a bit better to

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was the old cabins just clad with new decor on the outside, the same decor that was used with other properties we stayed at in this group of hotels. The cabin advertised was a king room and fold out bed. However, you can not sleep on the fold out. It was a metal frame with sagging pads in the middle. Terrible. It is was not a double room at all. The location is beautiful, the restaurant good. If we come back it will be to the yurts and ask to see pictures of the beds.
Lovely property, friendly staff, and stunning views. Lots of little added touches as well such as complimentary smoores and dog balls and beds for the four legged friends. Will definitely be back!

It was a family weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday but it didnt feel special. Neither the resort or the restaurant mentioned anything about our special weekend. The carpeted rooms felt dingy and there were hair n the living room and washroom. On top of that there was a brown stain on one of the towels. The highlight was the complentary kayaking and the ocean view from our family room.
Staff were great. Absolutely excellent food in the dining room - thoroughly enjoyed. Parking can be a bit of a challenge due to layout of the property but is manageable.

Clean nice room. Stayed in the cabin. Loved how close it was to the ocean. Quiet and peaceful.
Room service menu was out dated and not available. Restaurant staff was slow otherwise food was good.
Such a wonderful property with incredible ocean views - very quiet and peaceful. The pool was an added bonus. The only minor maintenance items was the broken seal in the window which concealed the spectacular view. Highly recommend this property to couples, families or anyone seeking the ambiance of west coast living. The dining room was closed for the 2 nights we were there but there are lots of other dining options relatively close by or bring your own picnic to enjoy on your own private deck!
The location was very nice.
Maintenance of facilities was poor. Exterior wooden surfaces needed repair and the repairs attempted were not well done. The stairs from the lobby to the pool level were steep with tred width well below Canadian building code standards the last 35 years or more. Steps between various levels on the pool level lacked any indication of the offset, not in compliance with current safety standards. In our room, 8 out of 14 lights were either burnt out or Mon functional.
a magical place from the natural beauty to the treetop boardwalk ....

The property and location is gorgeous but for the price the rooms and portions of the property were looking a bit run down and definitely need some maintenance. The front desk and restaurant staff were lovely and kind but the housekeeping/maintenance team seemed to be understaffed and we noticed a few guests complaining to the front desk about this. For the price you're paying these types of issues are not expected and my expectations were higher. We would return if they lowered the price.

Beautiful resort overall. The room was clean and comfortable, the view was great, restaurant was very nice and the foods was really good. There was a wedding while we were there and the music was pumping ‘til late in the evening (which wasn’t expected) so that kinda killed the peaceful vibe, but at least the music was good (LOL). Complimentary kayaks, which was great, though the one my husband got was in dire need of repairs. Pricey resort but nice. On a side note, I had mentioned that my husband and I were there to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary but there was no recognition/gesture to acknowledge this, which I thought was kind of lame given what we paid for our weekend there.
My friend and I loved our stay in our signature tent! The view was amazing, the staff lovely and the food at the restaurant was delicious! The complimentary kayaks are an added bonus! We can’t wait to return!
