"Noisy most of the night. We had a suite with a sleeping loft and queen sofabed.below. There were 3 of us The sofabed was so uncomfortable that my husband gave up and slep on the floor "

"The room was good, we took the side that has a view to the Harbour on the second floor. Apparently there was some construction near the Harbour, though there was no sound or any disturbances to our room. Room as such was comfortable. Ensuite Bathroom is small, specifically the sink. But overall a good stay. Parking is free and is at nice location next to the other side of the hotel. Never had any issues with parking or for attaining any free spot"

"While the Fairmont is grandiose, clean, and staff make an exceptional effort to ensure you’re cared for, for $800 a night it leaves a lot to be desired. We booked a “city view” room and our windows were 2/3 fogged to block the view of the alley. It was very loud (big trucks, etc). The room itself was clean, mattresses and pillows were nice, the bathrooms are old and tiny and overall disappointing. Additionally, it took over 4 hours for us to get our luggage after the bell hop had taken it. Staff worked hard to remedy this and we appreciate that. Despite this, for $800 a night I would not stay here again. "

"Amazing staff. Rooms were clean. Peaceful and relaxing. Exactly what you want for a couples getaway. Alpina Restaurant was absolutely amazing. The view and the food, especially their brunch menu was a perfect 10 !"

"It was exactly what was expected. Clean and basic. Low rate for Victoria and close to everything. My only criticism would be the chair in the room was quite uncomfortable. But beds terrific. "

"On the last night of my stay I found a cockroach climbing on my clothing. The front staff did find me another room to transfer to. But I had to quickly pack up all my belongings in the middle of the night before a long drive the following morning. This was very stressful and I will have to now spend a lot of time when I am home drying all of my clothing in high heat to ensure I don’t bring any infestation into my home. The hotel was unable to offer me any compensation or discount because I had booked through Expedia as a third party. After this I will never stay at this hotel again or book through Expedia for hotel stays. I will add this is also supposed to be a “ luxury hotel resort” so I really didn’t expect this to happen"
