Lovely place to stay going to see solar eclipse!

Relaxing "cabin in the woods"

This "cabin in the woods" venue was a fun reprieve from the usual hotel/motel choices; rooms are cozy, clean and cute. Location is easy to find just off the freeway. A back porch overlooking the woods was quiet and relaxing (bring mosquito repellant!). Proprietor was friendly and helpful; parking on premises is free; felt safe at all times. Close to alligator farm and several restaurants.

Excellence beyond my expectations

Today is April 21, 2024. The property (including the grounds) is well maintained and clean. It's rural, so during sleeping hours it's pretty quiet--though there was a train around 0445 on Saturday. I don't know if I would have heard it if I wasn't already awake, though it's certainly not "off in the distance". (look at a map) I didn't hear one on Friday between midnight and 0800. The room was very clean as was the bathroom, closet, and refrigerator. Everything was "modern" and well-kept; no worn furniture, stains anywhere, etc, that could have made it seem in need of upkeep. I've got nothing but good things to say. I'll be back next year if the convention is held again.

The property was easy to locate, and the grounds were clean. We stayed overnight to watch a race at the local dirt track, which is just a 5-minute drive away—a must-visit if you're into racing! The property has two rooms, A and B. Guest A parks in front under the house, while Guest B parks on a concrete slab in the back near the wide stairs leading up to the rooms. These stairs have plenty of space for luggage. We received clear directions and an access code on the morning of our stay, making arrival smooth. Though there’s a nearby train, we only heard it twice during the day, so it didn’t disturb our sleep. The room matched the photos exactly—no surprises there. The mini-fridge was handy for drinks and leftovers, and there was a laundry bag for used towels. Everything worked perfectly: lights, the fan, and the AC, which cooled the room quickly. The bed was firm and tall, which was fine for us despite being short people. An extra pillow or blanket would have been a nice addition but wasn't necessary. The property owner was responsive and pleasant when answering questions before our stay. All in all, we had a 5-star experience and would stay here again! Oh, I've seen some sites advertise this as a bed and breakfast. It is not. It is room with a private bathroom for an extremely reasonable price, but breakfast is not included.

A safe and clean little jewel!

This place is a jewel. Close to the highway which made getting back on the road easy. Clean, safe everything working as it should and a great rate. The only thing that could make this place better would be coffee and maybe some sort of self service breakfast in the room like even pop tarts or mini donuts.
