The bed is very comfortable. We had a nice sea view. The rooms whilst not big are well equipped. The staff were friendly. The only downside is the nearby nightclub which did impact our sleep on a Saturday night, Sunday was ok. If you have ear plugs it should not deter you from staying at the hotel.

Hotel is just along from the buses which is great. Not far from all the shops and market. The two receptionist are lovely and helpful. Only thing is the noise of the many seagulls on the roofs.

We used Granville as our hub to explore the Normandy area in France. We rented a car and stayed at Hotel des Bains for five nights. The room was clean and comfortable. We had our adult son along so we book the "Superior Family Room side sea view" which was excellent. Our son had his own area with a privacy curtain. Our balcony looked over the sea. We had a great stay.

Bed confortable - room deco very depressing (dark). No kettle to make tea or coffee, no fridge with drinks (?) and very hot only one small window to open. 1 receptionist was polite but the other one not welcoming at all. I tried to contact Hotel a week in advance to ask to change from 2 persons to one - every time I called the phone was put down. I tried to explain situation when I arrived but did not try to help me eventhough i paid a double room for only me. Lastly I had to wait 3 pm to get my room. A long time to wait after a long trip.

Disappointing stay

The stay was awful. I called in advance requesting a lower level floor and we were put on the fourth level. Room was not clean, smelled very musty. The worst part was the noise from other guests from 1 until 4 in the morning. Yelling, banging and knocking on doors. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had and I’m so disappointed as Granville was an exciting stop on our trip. I never write reviews but needed to write this one.

Even it is an old renovated hotel, it is very nice. I like that they have a restaurant on site. I like the location. Unfortunately, there is no parking. Public parking may be free but not available almost all the time. Taxi is not available without prior reservation. WiFi is a huge problem for iPhone users. No internet connection at all.

Nous avons pris une chambre double supérieure à un prix + que gonflé en cette période de carnaval, la porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas, la porte de la chambre difficile à fermer également, et de la moisissure ou autre saleté de couleur noir sur le bord de la vitre de la baignoire.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer gebucht und sond mit Hund gereist. Das Zimmer an der Seite für die Kinder war total süß. Alles an sich, waren wir sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Die Lage ist sehr gut, Parkplätze an der Straße sind vorhanden. Der Strand ist direkt vor der Tür. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Immer wieder gerne!
