At checkin I was shown to my room and staff turned on the air conditioner. Which was nice because some units are not easy to figure out.

This place was built in the late 1930's and nicely renovated. Each room has its own microwave and mini fridge. The manager, Ash, is the nicest guy in the world. I'd stay here again. The price does differ on Expedia app, than in person. In person, it's $15.00 cheaper.

Looks run down from the outside but very clean rooms. Microwave, fridge inside. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Friendly, very helpful owner.

Worth It!
Traveling on a motorcycle got caught in bad weather coming out of Phoenix. Was able to secure a room here very quickly. Manager provided a covered parking area for my Harley and was very accommodating. The motel looks a little worn down but the stay is very well worth it! I will stay here again.

Not too bad if you need a place to crash even for a few days! Close to some hiking trails. They do charge a refundable deposit of $40 at check in. Shower drain didn’t drain very well so while taking a shower the bottom filled with water a bit but then did eventually drain. Over all wasn’t bad

"El Rey" not the King of Globe.
Dirty floor - Door doesn't seal so dirt blows in. Place about 15 years overdue on a remodel... rotted wood at bathroom entry. Pricey - poor value. And they allowed another 'guest' to check in under my name (Hadn't checked I.D.). Luckily there was still an available room. I'd put this place on the 'last resort' list.

The manager is rude and angry, and called me a derogitory insult when i arrived to check in. I left immediately. No one should ever stay there. Avoid at all cost.

Hard to believe the prices in Globe. This hotel was good for what we were looking for. Room was clean and quiet. The TV was a smart TV which was a nice surprise. Bed was good.

The hotel was great, my girlfriend and I really enjoyed it, the manager creeped me out and was kind of a douche and there were a couple moments that kind of just made me uncomfortable because of him, otherwise would recommend it

Horrible place to stay
The man at the counter definitely did not like people. He was rude to me and my daughter. I checked in and paid my 20 deposit. Went to the desk and asked him to give my daughter the room key as I was goi g to eat. He then told her she needed to give him a 20 cash deposit. Her baby was crying and he would NOT give her the key. Needless to say we drove 3.5 hours home that night because this man and the hotel was awful!!! I truly should be given back my money as we did not stay.

Although this is a very old motel, the rooms are being nicely renovated and are very clean. We were quite comfortable here and definitely will book here again.

Nice overnight stay!
The hotel seems to be in process of renovation - which is needed. Plus side: comfy, clean, good bed, nice shower, and quiet. Ash (I'm sure I'm misspelling his name) is professional, friendly, patient, and kind. He makes you feel very welcome. Restaurants, gas, etc. quite close. I would stay there again.

The property clerk didn't know I had booked through Expedia, and charged me $53 for the room. When they found out an hour later that I had booked through Expedia, they charged my card an additional $20.35 - I won't be using either El Rey Motel or Expedia again.
