"The motelier (Stephen) was very friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home, as soon as we arrived. If you have been driving all day, from Wellington to Gisborne, the last thing that you need is a non-friendly person to meet you, but Stephen was totally awesome/wonderful. The motel was very quiet too. The beds were comfortable. The swimming pool was refreshing. I will stay at this motel again."

I’m from the coast so I knew my way around town but it was good to see that they had a info folder in the room full of information on things you can do in the township and also had a list of local restaurants/food recommendations a lot of other useful information. Over the past couple of years I have noticed that alot of other motels no longer provide these but I find them very useful...

"There was a bit of miscommunication of duties of the new cleaner so didn’t get our beds made or towels renewed for the first two days. Very apologetic front of house and rectified towels. Otherwise comfortable stay. "
