Overall, like if the property had two star, the front staff is great friendly ladies who are very helpful. We went to go see the manatees in the national park and they called the taxi and got us there. The overall the property is nice and well maintained nice colonial style. The bed was good, air-conditioned room. Beyond that the food is exorbitant. The food was good, but I’m paying the same prices at a high-end restaurant in the United States. Also no one, but the front staff can crack a smile or be friendly. When you order a drink at the bar they make it for you and then sit down and fall asleep behind the bar again. I think I saw the property manager when I said good morning just a look and no hello. There is absolutely no hospitality, but that’s probably given that Guyana has a very young tourism atmosphere. At dinner the same thing they will take your order and bring it but absolutely no smile hello or anything.
