My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at La Torre sulla via Francigena for a week this summer, and it was one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations ever. The location is absolutely stunning – set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, it offers breathtaking views and a truly unique and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are not only spotlessly clean, but also beautifully decorated, featuring charming and artistic mosaic designs on the walls that make each room feel special. The food is fantastic! Every morning we were treated to a fresh and delicious breakfast, with plenty of options including omelets, pancakes, scrambled eggs, eggs and bacon, and more. They also host amazing pizza nights and even outdoor movie dinners under the stars – such a magical experience! The staff are incredibly kind, warm, and helpful. Their hospitality really made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. The service was top-notch in every way. The outdoor area is a dream – the pool and garden are beautifully maintained, perfect for unwinding and soaking in the serene surroundings. You really feel like you can disconnect and relax here. They also produce their own wine on-site, which you can purchase and take home – a lovely and delicious souvenir. I highly recommend renting a car, as it gives you the freedom to explore the area. Don’t miss a visit to San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena. Will definitely come back!

10/10 - amazing!

We travel a lot and this is one of the nicest places we’ve ever visited. As in most places in Tuscany, the countryside is beautiful. La torre makes it even more so. Carefully renovated by the amazing owners, Scott & Angus, the rooms, pool, garden and wine yard is perfect for a getaway. When we booked we didn’t know that we would experience a movie night under the Tuscan stars with wine and a fully stocked picnic basket. Or a pizza night (with delicious starters and dessert) next to the barn. Memories for years to come. . We stayed in the upupa room and the bed was super comfortable. Great attention to details in the interior and our terrace. (Please notice that this room does not have a door to the toilet.) We cannot wait to come back again! We are going to miss your food Angus!
