Beautiful hotel! The room was very comfortable for 4 adults. The grounds are very nice to walk around. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in Gaeta.

This is a beautiful property with easy access to historic gaeta and Formia. The staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. There is a large pool for children and adults that is to be enjoyed when not able to access the beach. Breakfast offers a variety of cold and hot options along fresh fruit and locally baked goods. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. I would highly recommend this property.

Absolutely beautiful property! Delicious food in restaurant and for breakfast. Private beach with great service. We only stayed for one night, but it worse to stay and enjoy longer.

Parking was ample. Pool is beautiful with shallow and deeper parts and olive trees planted in the middle. Lounge chairs were easily available in September - not the most comfortable, but they were available which is different than many resorts. The property is filled with gorgeous plants, flowers and fruit trees everywhere. Really magical! The staff is low key but very friendly. The front desk staff were fabulous to have for advice on the area, taxi reservations, dinner help and selling us bus tickets.

Amazing all fish dinner on a platform on the ocean, romantic and peaceful. Beautiful big yard with fruit trees and two pools. Staff was very helpful, welcoming and ready to make our stay unforgettable. Breakfast was rich and fresh. Only flaw is the rooms are a little updated, especially the bathrooms but very clean.

We arrived in the beginning of octobre. The summer season was clearly coming to an end, but weather was nice, sunny and day temperatures 21-23 degrees C. Few tourists, so we had the swimmingpool and the beach almost to ourselves. The hotel itself is surprisingly grandiose, with high ceilings and nice rooms. Area around planted with olivetrees and lemontrees. Staff is friendly, but prefers talking italian. Cudos for opening the breakfast 15 minutes early just for us, since we had to depart early. Villa Irlandia is a cosy and oldfashioned hotel, with friendly staff and nice pool and rooms. I can recommend this.

Ok this was not what we expected. We expected to stay in the building shown on Expedia's website (the Grand Hotel). However we were relagated to the service building which does have four units on three floors. Unfortunately (I've had this experience before when booking with Expedia) it felt like we were given the backroom on the third floor. Upon opening the window our view was dumpsters. But to be fair in the distance were lemon and orange trees and a nice view of the sea. There was also an issue with no heat. The management told us that we were there on the shoulder season so the main facilities were closed (so was the heat). Go figure. (Expedia intervened) -- They moved us to a lower unit and somehow with computerized thermostats cooked us at night. We could not easily manage the temperature in the room. The shower was so small (maybe 2.5 x 2.5 feet). Do not consider if your are larger person. You cannot bend over to wash your legs or feet. The actual town is close by. Great boardwalk and many restaurant options. But be careful traveling on shoulder seasons. Almost all museums, art centers are closed. Parking is at a distance from all buildings. Walkways are difficult with paving and suitcases.

A lovely hotel with a beautiful pool

The hotel is beautiful and the pool was the highlight of our stay (I wish the pool stayed open later). We had a large room with a private balcony which was quite nice. We definitely would have appreciated a bit of help with our luggage, particularly since the elevator stopped at the floor below our room, but other than that, we didn’t have any complaints.

Pretty buildings but needs massive modernisation.

Extremely expensive food options, minibar, no water or amenities in room, unusable wifi. No bellhop service available on arrival. Nice buildings and clean, but haven't been upgraded since the early nineties. A single power point hidden behind the bed in the room. Need complete modernisation. 2*
