"Great property with lots of restaurants in walking distance. The shuttle was great and took us to the Sand Mountain Amphitheater and picked us back up once we called and told them we were ready! The driver, Michael, was awesome! The only downfall is that I booked a room with 2 queen sized beds about 5 months ago but when we entered the room, it was only 1 king bed. The same thing happened to my friend who booked her room at a totally different time. When we went to the front desk, they stated that there was nothing that they could do since they were fully booked and we would need to get with Expedia for any refunds, etc. My friend had 2 other people in her room so they were given a rollaway bed. The person who I shared my room with slept in the same bed. Luckily, it was big enough for 2 people."
"This historic property is extremely well-maintained and very comfortable even for an extended stay. It is really the centerpiece of Anniston. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant after a bumpy check-in experience. Breakfast was generous if a little uneven. There are a few indications on Expedia that are not quite accurate anymore, but that doesn't take away from a generally very positive stay."
"My wife and I discovered this property in 2023 while traveling to watch our oldest grandson play baseball nearby. We've been visiting several times per year since because we love that it's right on Lake Guntersville and offers beautiful views. It's an older property that has had some updates completed. It offers a pool, fitness center, and has a restaurant and bar on site. Normally, I have given really good reviews of this property thus returning several times per year. This most recent visit was different. Check-in was easy and the lady at the desk was pleasant even offering some information about the new restaurant as well as other features offered. We got settled and then did our usual post check-in activities like get our snacks/provisions for our stay. The mini fridge in the room was the smallest variety and smaller than I remember but maybe I'm confused. We had very noisy neighboring rooms that kept us up to the wee hours of the morning (3-4am). When reported to the front desk, they offered to move us but we weren't the problem and had no desire to pack up everything that we unpacked days prior to move rooms. The better option would have been to address the noise to ensure all guests have a nice, peaceful experience in which they get to enjoy the great lake view. We've stayed in many hotels and have liked this until this visit. We'll consider other options on our next visit to the Guntersville area."
"I’ve been staying at this place for a long time. The breakfast has really gone down and the pool never works every time I stay here. The pool is down. I don’t think they want to spend the money to keep it up. people are friendly and the rooms are nice."
