The accommodation was really central - perfect for a short stay in Florence. It was clean, spacious and the air conditioning was handy in the summer heat. It was fine for us but other guests might like to know there are a lot of stairs to get there so not ideal for all travellers.
Great location, clean and convenient in the midst of Florence. The staff and service was not the most hospitable but if you can overlook that, the property is in a great stay and walkable to most of the top attractions and entertainment.
This property was exactly as advertised. The check-in was smooth, however it’s not a full time desk staff so you have to coordinate your arrival. This wasn’t an issue as long as you plan for it. There are many stairs so I wouldn’t recommend for anyone who struggles with many stairs. Overall the property was clean, updated and very safe. I would stay here again and recommend to others.
Sure, here's a more detailed review based on your points:
I recently stayed in this newly renovated room that was both spacious and impeccably clean. The modern updates were evident, and everything felt fresh and new. The location is fantastic, with easy access to all the main attractions and amenities. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.
The room was simply amazing , everything was clean the bed was comfortable, it felt very luxurious.
As the room was at the top of stairs it may not be suitable for people with access issues . However for anyone else it is worth the climb!
The room was clean, big and light, full of sun. The beds were very soft and comfortable. The bathroom was big and comfortable too. There were a little problem with heating and Stuff fixed it immediately. I recommended it with great pleasure.
Location - good. Close enough to major attractions and local hidden gems. I bit of a walk to the station but not terrible.
Staff - only saw them when checking in and they were straight forward.
Room - we were on the very last room upstairs and even tho it was clean and the biggest shower in Italy, I had the worst allergies while staying here. The WiFi didn’t even covered all the way up. I had to come and sit on the stairway to get any signal.
The property was in a great location, it is noisy on the weekends and does have a lot of stairs. That does not both us but but i can see it being an issue for others. Staff are nice and again, its location is fantastic.
The location is good—peaceful and quiet. The room was minimalist but comfortable. However, we were assigned a room on the 5th floor, and that part of the building felt dark and confusing, almost abandoned, with lots of doors and no clear sense of space.
There is no lobby service, so if you don’t inform them of your arrival time in advance, you might be locked out. In our case, we experienced this issue, and when our transportation was delayed, no one answered our calls.
Overall, the stay was okay, but we would not return unless management improves communication and signage.
Great room with high ceilings in a very convenient location near the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It’s not really like a traditional hotel and is more of a airbnb with a check in office. It’s in an old building, but the rooms themselves are newly renovated. Do not book this place if you have trouble walking up stairs because you have to go almost 4 flights of stairs and there’s no elevator. However if you are packed light this place is a really good value.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Disliked: Staff & service
So many steps and no lift. Our room was at the very top of the property with quite steep steps. The room was mostly clean, except it was evident the double bed sheet had not been changed since the last customer, annoyingly as the staff leave early it wasn’t until the following day that we could ask for it to be changed, this was done very quickly. The area is excellent and the room was spacious with a lovely bathroom and a fridge, but no tea or coffee facilities. However there are lots of options around for food.
Pros: Newly refurbished, large space with lovely bathroom and great shower. Location is great, surrounded by lots of place to eat and walkable to all the main attractions. Comfortable beds and easy check in process.
Cons: Not great if you are a light sleeper. Lots of noise from other guests in communal area/heavy doors slamming. Also lots of noise from streets below. Very few facilities in room - would benefit from space to hang items or hangers in the wardrobe. Also no cups or kettle. So much space but very little useful furniture.
The property was very conveniently located, providing easy access to numerous restaurants, shops, and historical sites. The rooms were spacious; ours had a beautiful fresco painted on the ceiling, reminiscent of the many churches we visited. The air conditioning was able to run while we were not in our room, so it kept cool for our return each visit. The negative aspects of our visit were (1) we were on the 3rd floor, 71 steps to our room with no elevator, and carrying luggage for 2 weeks was quite a haul, (2) the shower was plenty large, but it would not drain well, (3) the noise from the partiers on the streets below was endless on Thursday and Friday nights. The biggest issue in the city, not related to the hotel, was being able to hail a taxi. This was nearly impossible. Be sure and figure out how you plan to get around when leaving to another destination with all your luggage. Give plenty of time to exhaust your options, including having to walk for 30-45 minutes to the train station.
Overall it was alright, great location, spacious room.
Nevertheless there were no hangers (at all) in the room, no cattle or iron. When we asked ladies at the reception if they can assist us with either of those, they said “there is nothing we can do”, obviously not the response you expect from
hospitality employees. Overall vibe from them was a bit hostile to be completely honest.
Rather than that, be prepared to claim a lot of stairs to get to the room, it wasn’t a problem for us tho since we didn’t have too much luggage.
Things to know about this property:
– We had to go up five flights of stairs to get to the second floor. There was no elevator in the building. There is no one to help you with your luggage.
– There is no safe in the room, however there is a small fridge that was working.
– Would have liked to have hangers in the wardrobe.
– Had to ask for an iron and ironing board, however, was only given an iron. The plug was very far from furniture, so had to iron on the floor.
– check-in is available from 3pm-6pm by appointment only. Check-in is otherwise only available from 6 PM – 11 PM, however, with a €30 charge.
- I was quoted that I would pay approximately $39 at the property, however, at check-in it was €42.
- loud street noise throughout the night (every night we stayed) as we faced the main street and there is a bar across the street. This is not ideal if you are a light sleeper.
Overall, the room and bathroom were beautiful and large for European standards. It is very modern, new and spotless. The rooms are not cleaned daily, however, there are towels and toilet paper that can be accessed at any time in the common area. Property is centrally located, and was in a safe area.
