We experienced something that we have never seen before. On check out, the desk person went to check out the room and returned to tell us that two small towels were missing and we were going to get charged. After doing our best to argue that the maid replaced a small towel with a large towel she continued to blame us. No reasoning skills at all and she continued to blame us. Being rushed to catch our bus outta town we just left. Im not sure if this was a scam to charge more money or incompetent workers at the place. Buyer beware! Don't trust the place!
During my recent stay at this hotel, I found the staff to be friendly and eager to help. Even so, the facilities were another story. I found a defective toilet, the sink was broken and moved from side to side and could not stand, and a very uncomfortable bathroom. The heater didn't turn on and the wifi didn't stay connected. For what I paid I would have expected to have a better room. I wouldn't recommend it.
We had a fantastic 5 night stay here during our time in El Chalten. Eugenia who was the hotel receptionist was amazing and greeted us with a friendly smile every day.
Nice hotel in an amazing town. Walk right out the door and experience everything El Chalten has to offer. Rooms are small, but you won't be staying in them much anyways. El Chalten is all about the outdoors.
The hotel was great! They offered the best exchange rate in town (exactly the blue rate) and held our suitcases for five days while we went hiking. The room was small but super clean, and everything worked. Would stay here again.
