Its beautful area right by the Nicolet National Forrest and 1/2 hour away from the Ottawa National Forrest. Right by a lake and has fire pits to use and grills. The manager is fantastic. She really knows how to treat people. I think her name is Jenny. Im sorry if i got that wrong. She let me check in 5 hours early. How cool is that??!! I highly recommend this place. It is truly awesome!!

We visited in early spring. Very quiet and peaceful. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Contactless check in and out. Very nice.

Arrived early and after finding a helpful gentleman ( note) this young man was maintenance not front desk who called the property manager who quickly and without any hesitation or attitude remotely updated the lock and let us in . Outstanding service. This was not the first and most certainly not our last stay and this amazing resort. Highly recommend

We had an issue with our door. Staff was wonderful in helping make our stay excellent. Bar staff extremely friendly. Was a great experience and will be back!

Cheap. Are better options for similar price.
Its a "cabin" type of hotel. I stayed in December (off-season). Arrived at 6pm. The building with the front desk was closed, so I had to call to get a code to access my room. Room was 60 degrees. No breakfast nor frills. There were only 8 tv stations (all local, no cable) and half didn't have any volume. It's cheap..in summer, you have the lake. So, the hotel is probably better then.

Carpet needs changing stains/ liked that it was quiet/ bathroom was sorta dirty/ blanket had a dirt stain on it/ wouldn’t prolly go back unless we were offered a free night to make up for the uncleanliness of it….

We enjoy the property as they welcome us and our dog. They even gave our dog a little welcome bag with a toy and treats.

Great place to come and relax. Bar area is great. Staff is very friendly. If you are getting in late there is a phone number on the door and they will make sure you get to your cabin. Had a great time and will be back.

Nostalgic stay
Nice, friendly, beautiful quaint grounds, peaceful. Be sure to eat dinner at their restaurant. Food was excellent. Everyone in bar was complementing the chef! schnitzel best I ever had!

End of summer
The room was small but very clean. The resort was nearly empty, so that was a plus for us, except there were no pontoon rides as they were being put away. It was fine for the end of season getaway. The Villas are much nicer, and larger, for larger groups.

Unhappy with booking!
My 90 year old Mother took a turn for the worse health wise and we had to put her in a nursing home. We tried to cancel our reservations through Chanticleer which they did. However we couldn’t get ahold of anyone to speak to at Hotels.com to cancel our reservation! We would appreciate a response and don’t feel we should be charged.

Hi Mike, We are sorry about your mother. We did respond to your request, however, when rooms are booked through a booking site, they need to be cancelled through the booking site. We 100% approve your refund, but it needs to come through Hotels.com. If they contact us, we will approve it with them. We would appreciate if you would focus the negative review away from us as we did not handle the booking. Please let us know if we can assist you with your refund.
