We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. De gastheer is uitermate vriendelijk en de gastvrijheid spat ervan af. We voelden ons er meteen thuis en hadden nog veel langer willen blijven. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en er is voor ieder wat wils. De B&B ligt op een fantastische plek, die we graag nog eens verder ontdekken.

Host of the property is a very nice gentleman. Our room was a bedroom in his house with a small, attached bathroom. Parking is either in his driveway or on the street out front. Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Location is great for walking to dining and shopping areas and walking the pier (I recommend at sunset). Would stay here again.

Great location, good options for walking and a quick walk to the train into Dublin. The host (Sean) is great to talk with and has great suggestions for seeing and enjoying Howth. We’d stay there again!

Sean was wonderful and great to chat with about anything. I would only say my biggest area of concern was the noise late at nite as new guests arrived.

Un Bed & Breafast chaleureux sur Howth

Le propriétaire de ce Bed & Breafast est adorable ! Sa maison est immense et chaleureuse. Nous avions eu accès à une chambre double, une autre chambre avec des lits jumeaux (qui était en travaux), un salon et une salle de bain. Le lendemain, nous avons pris le petit-déjeuner dans son salon : il avait dressé des tables avec tout ce qu'il fallait (assiette avec saucisse, oeuf, bacon, boudin noir / blanc..., pain, céréales, fruits, thé / café...). Je vous conseille fortement !

: Ce B&B est bien situé dans le village de Howth. Possible d'aller a pieds au village comme faire une magnifique ballade sur la côte. Quartier calme. Les chambres sont bien tenues. Notre hôte nous à très bien reçu, sympas, aimable et serviable avec un petit coté atypique. Grand merci !! - : La décoration et les équipements aurait besoin d'un rafraichissement.

This is not a BnB/Guesthouse

The shower didn't work. The water didn't come through. There was no shower gel/shampoo anyhow. I ended up washing myself in the bathroom sink with the complimentary towels. The blinds in the bedroom are full of mould. The house looks run down. The house is not prepared to function properly as a BnB. It's like the owner decided to rent out a few rooms because the kids had grown up and moved out but didn't actually change anything apart from cramming more beds into rooms. The table for breakfast was set for 8 people to share. No covid precautions were observed. No tea or coffee, or toast for breakfast. Jams/marmalades etc.. were from the jar and left on the table for guests to share. The owner asked if 8.30 would suit for breakfast. At 8.45, when still nobody was there, I decided to serve myself. The Milk was in one of the 3 fridges in the kitchen. I had a bowl of Muesli and left. Before I left, 2 other guests arrived for breakfast and were visibly confused by the set up. Apart from the lovely location, I was really disappointed with my stay here and regretfully cannot recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here one night. The below reflects our opinion together. Sean was a very nice man and very friendly. The breakfast was good, and rich and plenty with hot (egg, sausage, bacon) and cold items such as cerials, juice, fruits, toasts, etc. However, the place is in a terrible shape, run down, falliing apart, and it is not clean. It's far from the city center and tourist attractions. Although its price sounds cheaper than some hotels, when the negative aspects are considered, it is not an inexpensive place either. Expedia should not promote this place for it's international clients. Somehow it has a high rating, which is very misleading. Ireland is popular with its bed & breakfast facilities. Sometimes, staying at a b&b is better than staying at a hotel. It gives opportunity to meet with local people and have a different experience. But, this place isn't one of them.
