We took two of our grandsons to the Western Plains Zoo and stayed at the Rhino Lodge. We had a great time. The staff at the restaurant were helpful. The accommodation clean and comfortable and the zoo only a three minute drive away.

Close to Dubbo zoo and Dubbo city centre we were there in the middle of winter it was -3 but the air conditioner worked well but unfortunately we couldn’t eat there as it wasn’t staffed but other than that it eat a great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rhino Lodge as a family of four. The location was perfect, a 3 min drive to Dubbo Zoo. We had the safari experience by staying in a beautiful tent which had heating and modern amenities. The staff were amazing! Providing a personalised service, the food incredible (must try shared menu), facilities included a playground and so much space for the kids to run around. Highly recommended, a Dubbo secret that needs to be shared and experienced!!

Wonderful stay and staff made sure we had everything needed and advised us of short staffed so made sure we have extra of everything. The pool was clean, kids area in a very good location so adults could enjoy our meal and a drink whilst they played.

Place was clean, quiet and warm, shower was awesome but the bed was terrible, it was like sleeping on concrete. Even a soft bed topper would help.

It is the first time we have done glamping and it was a great experience...being the middle of winter it was very cold however our tent already had the heater on so it was lovely. Beautiful bedroom and huge bathroom with a lovely seat out the front for coffee in the morning. There is also the venue onsite for meals etc however due to Covid it was closed but being only 3 minutes up the road from the zoo you can go there for a fantastic breakfast without entering the actual zoo.

Great little escape
The location was beautiful. The place was very clean and the quality of the furnishings were lovely. It would have been nice to have a chair or lounge in the tent though.

If you want to stay very close to the zoo in true glamping style stay in this lodges mega-tents. Great breakfast menu. Not a mouse to be seen anywhere on site.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!
Staff helpful and nice The tent was great! Clean and spacious. The bed was stunning! The parking was just next the tent. We had dinner at the restaurant and everything was perfect. The service and the food were excellent. The place is absolutely gorgeous and we saw a beautiful sky full of stars. Only one night...I complain only that but it was our fault.

Safari experience
An amazing accommodation that makes you feel like you are camping in the safari. The inside of the tents are very clean with air conditioning and normal sized toilet. They also provide chairs table and fireplace outside the tent so you can relax after going to the zoo. The restaurant also have good food and amazing staff.

I initially looked at this accommodation because it was unusual and looked like it would be fun! I’m glad I did , peaceful location, tent was great, the restaurant was good and pub meant you didn’t have leave the property, highly recommend.

This was above our expectations. Sparkling clean room and excellent customer service. Glen and Joe were amazing, very caring and responding. Highly recommend for a great stay in Dubbo. Would definitely come back.

Relaxing stay
First time glamping and impressed with the tents which were very clean, modern & well decorated inside with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom with walk in shower. Good water pressure. Quiet air conditioner. Some tents have a more pleasant outlook than others as a few faced the road & some verandahs looked out towards other tents instead of the field behind.

Glamping at its finest
What an amazing experience! Our first time “Glamping” and it was beyond our expectation. High quality hotel room inside of a tent. Service was first class from the days leading into our booking, the room was spotless, bed very comfortable. The food was great and the staff treated us like family, thanks for a great experience and we are definitely coming back.
