Rooms were spotless great friendly staff fantastic location
This was such an amazing experience! The staff was the friendliest ive encountered, they even gave us a ride to the airport when our taxi didn't show up. The property was gorgeous, with an outstanding breakfast over the river. The room itself was peacful and beautiful with the sound of the water to fall asleep to.even the stray dogs were friendly!
It’s easily accessible but very peaceful. Each house has a different design. We were lucky that the houses were not fully booked and the owners let us inspect each house. They are all lovely and cozy with a nice view of the creek in the back porch. The owners are helpful and friendly. They seemed happy interacting with guests too. Our stay is memorable. I recommend this place for those who want to escape the rush and enjoy laidback moments in the mountains.
Two very bad things, and other pretty bad things.
1. There is a different menu for Westerners. We noticed other guests were eating meals that were not on our menu, and the next day for breakfast the same thing happened - we were given a Western breakfast (no menu, no order taken, just given), and the other guests had a Thai breakfast. I then found the Thai menu, and discovered that it was a book, with more than triple the number of meal options. Once asked about this (using a translation app) the host showed her colleagues, and they all laughed, before she responded (with app): "We gave you a Western breakfast because you are Westerners".
2. We barely slept the first night because of the cold, and the very thin bedding (January). The next night we got an extra duvet and 4 blankets, which were enough to keep us warm (but bathroom visits were uncomfortable).
Other things which are really quite bad, but not as bad as things 1 & 2:
Restaurant closes at 7,
Large openings for mosquitos in room,
Smaller holes plugged with tissue paper (seriously),
Toilet not attached to floor (don't shift your weight!),
Sink is outside, in full view of the street, and there's nowhere to put anything (not even the floor - toothbrush goes in your pocket?)
Nowhere to put anything - just the floor (nowhere at all outside),
Deck boards outside are really, really far apart (2-3in) - do not drop your phone! Tread carefully!
Don't stay here! But stay nearby, because it's very beautiful.
The location was breathtaking; peaceful, serene, beautiful.
The staff don't talk English though which is not a huge problem they use hope translate to communicate.
Just make sure to pack some dinner before checking in because all "restaurants" there close by 7pm even the front desk !
I and my BF was there for one night and I arrived a little late, the owner is very kind and nice to us. Best stayed and really great location ❤️ Can’t wait to come back there again
