The room was recently remodeled and very clean. Two minor issues in the room and front desk staff were very quick to solve the problems (even offering to give us a different room which was not needed). Night time staff was very empathetic when we had to check out in the middle of the night due to a family emergency that we needed to get home for (seemed genuinely concerned for us and our safety driving home). Would recommend a stay here if you're looking for cheap price and no extras like restaurant, continental breakfast, etc.

The guy at the desk was rude and arrogant, but the place was great, clean, and inexpensive. The staff was fine. There are a lot of very disgusting Wyndham hotels around there and I moved here from there because they were so disgusting, dirty, ill run.

Okay overall

There was dirty sheets on the bed that we had to change ourselves, the pool was closed the entire time, we were only given one towel, and they ran out of clean washcloths. It wasn’t a horrible stay by any means, but many small issues that made it much less enjoyable than expected. Bed was comfortable and room was dark and cool though! Surprisingly quiet for number of guests there as well.

Red Roof Inn Auburn Hills

The Red Roof Inn Auburn Hills offers a great stay at a budget price. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy, and the location is great, being close to many dining and shopping opportunities like the Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall. I will definitely be returning.

Good, Clean room without over paying

Staff was super friendly and helpful! The property has been getting some updates and they are making better. The lobby looks and smells great! Our room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is if you are bothered by noise overhead or you’re a light sleeper than you should request a room on the upper level. Also, if you have trouble with the tv the staff will come help resolve the issue. The tv is set up through WiFi with Roku and if it gets reset it can be a little challenge to get it connected but the staff will gladly help (it’s a quick fix). We would stay again…great staff, comfortable room with a great price!

Was exactly what i expect when booking

It was what i expected for a cheap room. The $100 security deposit felt a bit steep once i actually made it into the room. There was a gap between the floor and the door allowing cold air to enter. The molding was rotten and the drywall needed patching near the door. No soap in any of the dispensers, but they did offer a small bar of dove. The shower drain did not function appropriately causing water to not drain quickly. Im not a fan of standing in soap scum and dirt. The linen was clean. The bed was a bit hard for my taste but not too bad on a scale. Pet friendly, but the massive amounts of dog waste in the grass made it difficult to walk my puppy.

The room was comfortable and being on the ground level offered easy access and sight to my vehicle. I was however, accused of smoking in my room. The manager was great getting me in, but when I'd needed assistance with my tv, he had come in and said it smelled of smoke. I showed him my ashtray/cup that i was using to smoke and he told me i was going to lose my deposit. I did have half of a smoked cigarette in the pack that was on the counter and i know that can admit smells, but i obliged by all rules and am disgusted with how i was accused and treated. I do not recommend and most likely will never visit again.

Be aware of $100 deposit before booking

Be aware before booking! Prior to booking, i was not made aware of the required $100 security deposit. I was guaranteed that it would be refunded/credited back to my card upon check-out. That was now five (5) days ago, and they have yet to rectify the situation. I have made multiple attempts to contact the hotel without resolution. The deposit was more than the cost of the room rental, and it was nowhere near the amount charged to my card! The hotel is undergoing renovations. Although progress is being made, they still have a way to go. There was a considerable amount of trash strewn around the property. The room was surprisingly clean, however it was not without problems. The toilet ran constantly, the sink faucet was not secure, and the shower curtain would not remain closed due to anchors being pulled from the wall. The interior lightning was insufficient for the space. The window curtain did not adequately block the glaringly bright exterior security light located outside the window.
