" Shiraz Plaza is a GREAT hotel for Gyumri. The location is perfect. I took the train from Yerevan and could walk to the hotel easily. Plus it is located right off the city's main square - so the location is perfect. The rooms are nice, modern, spacious and clean."

"Wonderful stay. The owner was so very friendly and hospitable. He even shared his lunch and his best cognac with us when we arrived. The guest house common area is comfortable and lovely, painted a beautiful blue. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and cozy. The weather turned cold and there was even heat on. "The check in process had a rocky start as the desk person is not there 24/7. Once we got the rooms, I was pleasantly surprised as this was basically an apartment with all of the amenities including a clothes washer. It was recently refurbished, so it is brand new. I would stay again if in the area."

"Deniz is a wonderful person and the house is a very pleasant place to be. The surrounding area is a mess, but it is really in the center of the city. I can't understand how a city could let this happen, but it is what it is. It isn't cheap compared to some hotels in the area, but for me it was worth it."

"This is a well located & comfortable hotel in a lovely historic ‘Baltic’ building. The rooms were very clean and the twin room (we eventually stayed in)was bright and airy & quiet. The service levels in the hotel are best described as ‘indifferent’. The room safe was locks shut but no one seemed to know how to fix it, the breakfast selection was not constantly replenished (constantly had to request replenishment of items). "The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the Castle and other interesting sights. The staff were wonderful, kind and considerate. The communal sitting area is lovely and I was plied with tea all afternoon. The place is really warm which as a February visitor was important. The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice.
