They tried to switch me to adjoining hotel (De Clark) to much inferior smaller room. Then, to a bit larger room which was also inferior to what I had booked. I refused and showed them photos of spacious room I had booked. Eventually, after wasting over 1/2 hr, they gave me the type of room I had booked and in the hotel I had booked in

Zest Hotel was a horrible experinece as the hotel was actually closed and had not informed me before my arrival, and neither refunded me. They let the deadline for a refund pass, so they can keep the money without providing a room. I attach photos that show it was closed. Upon my arrival at the closed Zest Hotel, some individuals pointed me to a nearby hotel of poorer quality, also by the same owner. Their staff called the owner, who offered a room in this hotel (Hotel S R Palace), but unfairly even tried to ask for extra money. And the rooms in this hotel were of a lower quality than the rooms advertized for Zest Hotel. The owner also did not offer me my money back for the room at closed Zest Hotel. This is a fraudulent practice, a scam, as they leave you no choice but stay at the other hotel (or lose your money completely). I refursed to pay extra money. I now see at other booking sites that guests had similar experiences, meaning it is a recurring practice. Even after my arrival, rooms could still be booked at Zest Hotel for days that I saw it on-site closed. This on Expedia and other sites. This is exploiting travellers, especially those flying to/from Delhi with limited options and tired. I complained to Expedia and the owner still did not reimburse a non-existing room. Expedia apologised and provided a voucher, but it means that this owner received money for a room he did have at Zest Hotel. I recommend to avoid this hotel at all times.
