Very nice hotel for a one-night stay in N.Dallas

A very nice hotel for a one-night stay in the north Dallas area. Cleanliness and comfort were exceptional. Access to ice and vending was perfect. I would stay here again.

Hampton Inn Addison 2022

It was fine. Checkin was pleasant and the staff very nice. Hotel needs updating but they are in the process so it should be better, shortly. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was mediocre when compared to other Hamptons in which we had stayed. The location was great for our activities and included passes to the Kaboom Town festivities which was a nice plus.

The hotel is going through a change in the management. so It was not in a good shape when I stayed. I'd to shorten my booking from 8 nights to just 1 night. They earlier said that they won't charge me due to inconvenience. But they later charged the regular fee for 1 night.

Not advising to stay here unless you want to time travel to the early 90s. Looks like this is when the hotel was last renovated. Floor carpets are coming loose, only one elevator works, walls and sheets have yucky gross mystery stains, pillows are tiny and useless. The mattresses must be ancient as they're saggy with little to no comfort. One room had a fridge & microwave, the other simply didn't. The staff working there is pleasant, helpful and trying to be accommodating. But this place should have been renovated years ago. It doesnt help that they have fancy posters on tripods in the hallway advertising how gorgeous the rooms potentially could look in the future after renovations - the here&now reality is a far cry away from that. Breakfast options were decent, good potatoes with meh eggs, no meat/protein being offered. Thin watery oatmeal, bananas, bread and waffles as well. Thinnest coffee ever brewed. The mediocre breakfast can't save anything that the gross rooms did to you the night before.

Went downhill after the lobby

The lobby was nice and the nice young lady that checked me in was sweet. The breakfast was good. The woman in doing the prep and refill work was all by herself but she was nice and she did a great job. The ground floor hallway I walked for my stay was dingy looking and the carpet looked very old and dirty even though I heard them vacuuming in the morning. That's another thing, when someone in the hall opened a door it sounded like the were right on the other side of my door. The gap at the bottom of the door seemed much larger than typical. My room Smelled musky upon immediately entering it. Was dimly lit. The lights above the desk were so dim they were unusable. No safe, no fan in the bathroom, the lamp shades were covered in fine hairs that danced in the moldy smelling A/C wind(not central). I think the room had mites or fleas because I was itchy after sleeping in the decently comfortable bed. But I was such a nervous wreck the next night I thought I was feeling things crawling when I was unsuccessfully trying to sleep. I got up at 3 in the morning and just left. Take all that as you want.

Hallways smelled like wet dog. Had a three night stay and room was never serviced. Workout room had a broken treadmill, an elliptical and a deflated exercise ball, that was it - should not be considered as an “amenity.”
