The two beds were fresh and clean and each with 4 pillows and four decorative charcoal grey/black pillows. The bathroom had plenty of thick towels and a bath mat. "It’s a little bit out of Cork, but a lovely property: both old and new part of the hotel. The best option would be a suite in the 300 year old original building, if you can afford it. But garden view newer rooms also nice!"

"A surprising bit of luxury in a small guest house. We stayed at the Glen Quarter for one night at the start of a coastal tour, but now I kind of wish we'd booked two nights instead. Our stay fell on a Tuesday night in the off season, so I feel like we barely sampled the charms of Kinsale and now I want to come back for a longer stand (this happens A LOT in Ireland... Charming smaller towns feel so welcoming and familiar, but are eclipsed by the glamorous bigger cities). But back to the Glen...
