"We rented one of the 2-room suites with patio and fire pit. The room was very nice and the setting was nice, but not quite as private as it should have been. The fire pit is a nice amenity. The property falls in my review for several reasons: There is no microwave in the room; there was only 1 coffee pod left with the coffee maker; the refrigerator has no freezer; there were no bath linens upon our arrival and we had to seek those out; desk staff was too busy because of, evidently, several convention groups checking in at the same time. The property is pleasant only if you rent one of the river side units. The rest of the property is too "urban" looking - all parking lot with very little softening landscaping. Property is aging. Property is too close to a very busy road."
"The room was clean and the staff were friendly. BUT ... I thought the hotel was closed and abandoned when we first drove up because it doesn't look like anyone has ever pulled a weed or done any maintenance to the exterior. The room was in need of repairs in several areas and the bed was just adequate. Not that we planned to use it, but the pool was shut down. My husband ventured down for the breakfast only the first morning and quickly returned because he said what was there didn't look edible and most of the areas weren't set up with food. It was very, very expensive for what it was but it was a place to sleep and that's all we needed. Thank God I felt the room was clean and trusted that or we wouldn't have stayed. Someone desperately needs to come overhaul this property and spruce things up."
"Jason was efficient at checking me in, the room was very clean and Shelley was so helpful when I called to tell her I left my makeup case in the bathroom."
