This resort has a BEAUTIFUL beach, 2 great pools, very easy to park at, and the food was so far beyond expectations that we gained lots of weight. Their greek specialities at breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent even to our very high standards. And if you are not into Greek food (why would you be in Greece anyway?), all their other offerings were just as extensive. The catered to those with high expectations and even to kids. There was a bar almost everywhere with very, very good drinks. And the sunsets...this was the place...almost anywhere in the hotel you could see the sunset. Hands down, this is a gem!!! Hard to find though. When you come into town, make the turn up the hill by the small supermarket. DON'T head down through town toward the beach!

This is our second stay, in June, 2 years in a row. The room was lovely as it was the year before. We were able to get a swim up room this year and loved it. We never had what some others have mentioned, lack of hot water in the shower. The food at the breakfast buffet was wonderful and not exactly the same every day, very thankful for that. Lucata for my birthday dinner was unbelievably good and service in all restaurants was top notch. The building numbers and elevators can be a bit confusing but once you get it, it's easy. Parking can be tricky but the staff is so accomadating and all you have to do is ask for assistance. Pool area is wonderful, lobby bar has the best sunset views. 10 out of 10. We cannot wait to return

Location and views from hotel are amazing. Buffet food was excellent and kept hot and fresh. Some really great staff including Nikos and Mar (and the lady with red hair - sorry forgot your name) at the bars, some not so happy/friendly (Mario ... probably not his name). Reception a bit flakey in terms of smiles to greet people and also providing some services, including an iron. Beach is nice but a bit crowded with uncomfortable beds. Beds and views from the pool area and wider balcony are great. Restaurants pretty good (starters excellent but some mains very average inc. beef fillet). A very good wine list included in AI. The service situation, which has been a big issue in other reviews seems to have been resolved - there were many staff on hand to assist and ensure all needs were met. All in all, a really enjoyable week, and would be happy to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ella Alkyna, the food was really good, buffet had a great selection and the restaurants were lovely too. The hotel wasn’t the easiest to navigate around at first but after a couple of days you get used to the routes. The pool was great, cocktail choice was really good and the area around the beds was always clean and tidy. The main pool bar gave out drinks in plastic cups but the others did drinks in paper cups. It was nicer to have the plastic so we stuck to the main pool bar. Housekeeping did always come in make the bed but often the sheet would be put on the wrong way and the mattress topper left exposed and sometimes would come off in the night. The room was clean and tidy. Housekeeping did knock and attempt to come in even with the ‘Do No Disturb’ sign was on. The beach is a little steep to get down to but once there it’s very nice. The hotel do a good job of offering lifts in carts down and back up. If you struggle with getting around it would definitely be worth waiting for a lift. The staff were very friendly. The views are stunning, seeing the sunset each night was beautiful. Food was really good. We had a very relaxing break. We would definitely return.

Outstanding property with breathtaking views. The hotel is beautifully maintained, and everything was spotless and immaculate throughout our stay. The only downside was the service, which was unfortunately quite slow. For example, I had to wait a day and a half to receive an iron and ironing board for my room. Despite following up several times, I was repeatedly told there wasn’t one available. For a five-star hotel, I found that disappointing and difficult to understand. Service in general could be much more responsive. On one occasion, we waited around 50 minutes for our drinks to arrive. That said, I want to give credit to the staff—they were friendly, professional, and clearly doing their best. The issue seemed to be that the hotel was understaffed rather than a lack of effort from the team. Overall, it’s a fantastic property in a stunning location, but improving service speed and staffing levels would make the experience truly worthy of five stars. It is the small details that matters.

This hotel is beautiful! The food and drink options are incredible and it’s the perfect place to visit for a relaxing, adults only break. It’s worth noting that there are lots of hills and steps, so maybe not best for those that aren’t as mobile.

Really lovely resort. Views from the hotel, the bedrooms, restaurants, bar areas etc are amazing over the sea and beach. Being quite high up on a rocky hill, tiered levels, there are lots of steps and slopes to pool areas and beach especially if you have mobility issues, not enough buggies around.

This resort is beautiful. The views are stunning and the rooms are wonderful! If you want a resort with nothing to do but to sit at the pool or the beach, this is the one. It was peaceful, calm and relaxing. Only negative sides were at night, the bars would only have 1 bar tender working at each location, which made for a long wait sometimes. We booked a week long vacation and on day 2 I decided I wanted a massage. When I called to schedule one, they had no openings and were completely booked. Apparently you need to call in advance to book a massage before you arrive. Last, the mini fridge comes stocked with drinks, after they ran out, we went to the front desk to ask them to refill drinks and Coffee and they never did it. So some of the service was slow, but overall the place is worth the get away and relaxation. The food was always great! There is 1 buffet and 2 restaurants, but you can only eat at the restaurants 1 time each and the buffet for every other meal. Surprisingly the buffet was great and the options were always changing. The staff was super kind and we enjoyed our stay. Be prepared to walk a big hills to get to and from the beach!
