We had a great 2 night stay. The shared bathrooms were no problem, clean and available. Breakfast was great and a good value. Bed was comfortable and room was big enough to not feel claustrophobic. I slept with earplugs bc you can hear sounds in the hallway and adjoining room, but earplugs are typical to help me sleep while traveling. Great location, excellent and kind hostesses. We rented bikes to get around and they were great and cheaper than our last hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Liked the bed and breakfast concept. Staff were great. Did not like stairs. Bed in room 16 was uncomfortable with gap between twin mattresses. Found spider on duvet. Liked the full breakfast. Liked that coffee was always available and was European brew strength.

The stay was excellent but the only problems specially if you have a lot of luggage is no elevators, the only thing this one will improve is to have a cable lift from the window or side of stairs only recommendations.

Location was great for the purpose of my trip. They provided bike rental. The breakfast was very good, the public area was nice to sit in, the staff was sooo nice and helpful, and the atmosphere in the hotel was unique due to the transformation of apartments into a hotel. the only problem was ongoing constructions/repairs of the building outside which contributed to noise, but I assume that is temporary

Beautiful and cozy small hotel in Osterbro! My husband and our 20 year-old daughter and I loved our stay at Rye 115. The location was perfect for us, in a quiet and very nice residential neighborhood (SO MANY dining options!) and just a block from a large canal/park. We experimented with many modes of transportation and all worked great - Metro (a few blocks away), walking (from 20-40 minutes to most places) and, our favorite, biking using the Rye 115 bikes! The hotel itself is lovely, beautifully decorated and it really feels like your guests in someone's home. We loved the candlelit breakfasts (granola and pastries!), the cozy lounge with jazz music playing on the stereo and the balcony where we enjoyed drinks and a to-go dinner one night. Our room looked out over the back garden and was very comfortable (just needed a bit more storage and some hooks for towels and such). I wasn't crazy about sharing a bathroom, at first, but there were literal elves, I think, who went through and cleaned up every few minutes - it was always immaculate! Mette and her team were also incredibly helpful when we got stuck with the SAS strike and they helped us figure out how to get to Hamburg for our new flight home to the U.S. Highly recommend this hygge hotel!

This was a very nice place to stay - the staff/owners are lovely, as was the breakfast. I wasn't sure about not having a WC in the room, but it worked out fine. Felt like 'real Copenhagen' to me. Will stay again.

Rye 115 is a lovely boutique hotel. All the staff are friendly and attentive, and the decor is a good eclectic mix. Don't be put off by the communal entrance, once you get into the hotel it's lovely. And I imagine the outside in full bloom would be beautiful.

Lovely but uncomfortable
This hotel was lovely, and the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The décor is great, there is a nice living room and balcony, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is kept very clean. However, comfort was not what I expected. The place is very noisy, the room doors provide no sound isolation whatsoever, and the layout means that you can expect to be woken up throughout the night by guests coming back and in the early morning when staff comes in. Combined with the shared bathrooms, this made me feel like I was staying in a shared AirBnB, and not a hotel. I found the bed very uncomfortable - I understand the appeal of vintage, but that doesn't mean you need to have bedsprings from 20 years ago. The wifi was also very poor, it was basically unusable by more than 1 person at a time. Don't expect to be able to work from the hotel. Overall, my experience was mixed - if they did some upgrades (better internet, new beds, soundproofing the doors), this would easily be the best hotel in Copenhagen.

A real treasure in the heart of Copenhagen
What a treasure. So close to one of the metro stations in town, making getting anywhere very easy. A lovely neighborhood with only a short walk to the canal and a good choice of restaurants close by and a nice looking bakery across the road . We never visited the latter though as we were treated to a wonderful breakfast each morning with freshly baked banana bread and warm buns and boiled eggs cooked just right amongst other things! The staff couldn't have been nicer and we were made to feel at home right away. The décor was warm and inviting, the beds very comfortable. A communal sitting room had soft lighting and loads of comfortable chairs and sofas where you could relax and read in the evening and enjoy a complementary cup of tea or coffee. The shared bathrooms were well tended with beautiful old fashioned ware , but there was a bit of a problem in one of them with water inclined to gather on the floor after a shower - perhaps a symptom of this beautiful old building (and plumbing!). But the staff left the place immaculate at all times and were yet amazingly unobtrusive going about their work. Excellent value for money.

Rye115 is a special place. A boutique bed & breakfast hosted by an incredibly welcoming and attentive couple. They have clearly poured their heart and soul into this place. From their friendliness and attention to detail, their wonderful homemade breakfasts and their beautifully decorated rooms and communal areas. You will feel as if you're in the best hands and experiencing authentic Danish hospitality.

Staying at Rye 115 is like staying with friends. The hotel is crafted from old apartments, so there are a couple implications of this. Washrooms are shared, while not my favorite thing, they were kept spotless by staff, day and night. Sound also travels easily, so rooms do not have TVs, and unless you are a heavy sleeper you will need earplugs. The POSITIVES however, far outweigh this. The hotel is on a quiet street, one over from the Sortedam Lake. It is also steps away from the new Trianglen Metro station which was due to open the end of Sept 2019. The owners are wonderful, and they and their staff make the place what it is. My experience of Copenhagen would not have been the same had I stayed in a more traditional hotel. A European style breakfast is included (breads, cheese, meats, yogurt and muesli, hard boiled eggs) served with wonderful organic coffee, tea, juices, and milk. If you want to experience a Denmark founded on the principals of sustainability (sharing) and hygge, I recommend you include Rye 115 in your travel plans. It’s impossible to sleep in this hotel. The walls, floors and windows are paper thin. It’s such a shame as the welcome is fantastic. I had two nights of zero sleep due to the noise. Either from outside, above or to the side. The beds are also so narrow you can not move. Very disappointing and not good value for money.

This was a lovely boutique style hotel with a homely feel they truly encompassed the Danish “hygge”. Staff were welcoming and the decor and rooms were lovely. Shared bathrooms were spotless. Breakfast of homemade bread and cakes absolutely faultless.

Beautifully elegant and amazing service.
An amazing hotel. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and pay attention to every tiny detail. The rooms and public rooms are beautifully designed and very cosy in true Danish style! The breakfasts were lovely. The only slight problems were getting used to shared bathrooms, though I knew about these in advance and accepted the condition, and the location was a little far from the center.

What a rare treat I uncovered when I booked at the Rye! The building was 900 years old so everything was made of wood! The beautiful old creaking floorboards, the hutches in the dinning room as well as the tables and chairs. The breakfasts were delicious and the cakes and breads were all homemade. You would never know you shared a bathroom because someone cleaned it as soon as you went back to your nicely appointed room with a comfortable bed and and old fashioned vanity table and chair . Saving the best for last was the owner, Claus, his lovely wife and all the staff. They were the most welcoming, warm and friendly people you could ever meet! I highly recommend this unique hotel for your next stay in Copenhagen.

I only wish I could have stayed longer-- this hotel is a gem! It's on a quiet beautiful street close to all the important necessities but out of the way. The rooms are old and beautiful, the bathrooms are new and beautiful, and the breakfast was to die for! I loved how intimate it was and really appreciated the friendly helpful staff.
