This hotel is a great place to stay in Colombo with easy access to major shopping areas. The breakfast buffet was excellent, so many choices w/ one of the best South Indian food. I would like to special thank to Roman and Anurudha from room service and Lasantha and Nilanka Janaka Kumara from the restaurant service. We loved the service and they did a great job! Thank you

Nice break in Colombo at a lovely new hotel

A fantastic hotel, a few little issues with food but always rectified very quickly, management very attentive and aware of all that’s happening daily.

From the moment that I stepped into the ITC Ratnadipa, after a long 10 and a half hours flight, I was treated with dignity and respect. Despite being early for check-in, my room was all ready. Throughout my entire 10 day stay everyone was amazing! The facilities were incredible and the Spa especially. I am very pleased with my stay and would recommend it to anyone. 10/10 James

I WILL NEVER STAY AT ITC HOTELS.

the guy or the company who designed should be out of business. Even the expensive, bigger room had no drawers or any place to unpack your cloths, only hangers, so go ahead and hang your socks etc. or live out of suitcase. the TV doesn't work, phones do not work, terribly layout. coffee/tea is in a closet. The genius working for ITC will never see me at any ITC properties though all other hotels had a great service and layout, sadly, COLOBO KILLED IT.

Service staff needs more professional training

The good: Staff very polite & energetic, the room is spacious and well thought through with ipad central controls..etc. The bad: Staff needs more professional training and learning the importance of follow through till the service is fulfilled without the guest having to remind. Few delays experience throughout the stay. The ugly: Was trying to book a dinner reservation for 25 people from about 6-8 weeks prior, the staff was unresponsive (basically silence, even when trying to call from the hotel). Also got locked out of the room for about an hour because the lock batteries had died! (after 4 months of hotel operation) and it took about 8 different people to finally get the door open and we having to cancel some of our meetings due to this delays. Was very unhappy! 25th floor had a very bad smell - as if you were right next to the infamous baira lake! Must also say, once the above was brought to the management notice our stay took a turn to the better and was fabulous from that point onwards.

Horrible Experience at ITC Colombo - Avoid! I recently stayed at ITC Colombo, expecting a top-tier experience from a newly opened five-star hotel, but it was an absolute nightmare. Despite booking a suite and being charged an outrageous $80 for early check-in, the service was abysmal. The buffet was closed at lunch, and my daughter couldn't even get apple juice. Adding insult to injury, they refused to add our restaurant bill to our room bill, forcing us to pay in cash, and did not honor a $30 discount we had. Complaints to the management about these issues were completely ignored. To top it all off, they denied our request for a late check-out despite offering to pay extra. Coming from the UK, this was a massive disappointment, and I would not recommend ITC Colombo to anyone looking for quality service. Save your money and stay elsewhere!
