"I would give the hotel a 3.5. In general it’s nice but there’s a few issues. Chairs at the main restaurant on the patio are disgustingly filthy. Room was nice but needed a bit of updating. It was clean and comfortable though. The pool is a busy cluster of chairs and there’s nothing relaxing about it. The location is very good. With the review ratings, I honestly expected it to be better. It’s not bad and I would go back in a pinch but only if Opal Sands was full."

"Had a business event here in Tampa and was unable to book at the event location. Last-minute reservations here at Clearwater Beach Hotel. If you’re looking for a decent place to sleep that’s next to the beach. This is it. Nothing fancy definitely a place if I was on a budget, I would come back. Everything is in walking distance and the staff has been incredible. Just an older location that definitely needs upgrades. Long story short you get what you paid for and you still feel safe. "

"I didn't realize it wasn't on the beach. It is on the water but the beach is a 5 minute walk. The staff was not helpful at check in- didn't point us to the proper elevator, didn't tell us what the wrist bands were for."
