Nice family run hotel at Chiang Saen on Mekong

This family run resort on family land has a lovely garden and swimming pool. Our bedroom (like most of the others - probably need to specify) had a a glorious view the Mekong and Laos on the far side. On the downside, our room, though comfortable, had no bedside lights, no international TV channels and no telephone to contact Reception which was some distance away. Dinner was good with large Thai and European menu, but breakfast was not up same standard and coffee was awful (in country of good coffee!)

Booked this hotel with a pool after all it is 40 degree here now drove there to find the pool closed and drained. Very disappointing not Expedia fault but I hear from other reviews of getting to a hotel and no pool also read about this hotel the reception guy is rude lol must be family because no one would put this guy in that position with his personality

Beautiful gardens, lovely hotel, great view. Really.. It's called Gin's Meakong View for a reason. We stayed 4 nights in one of the love huts, rented scooters from the hotel and explored. Chilled out in the pool for a while after. Ate some good food either at the hotel or at one of the stalls along the river (15min walk). Loved Chiang Saen and it's surroundings. Loved it!!

Great location needs TLC

Great location. Great little room on river. That’s where it ends. The rooms need to be sprayed for bugs. The cleaners surely don’t need to start sweeping outside you bedroom with hard brooms at 7am. Don’t pay for breakfast as cold fried eggs and jock strained coffee is not worth exchanging for your hard earned cash. Pool was turning green really wanted a swim. Wouldn’t take much to pick up their game. The little things

Direkt am Mekong gelegene, überteuerte Anlage

Gleich hinter der Stadtmauer Rtg Sop Ruak direkt am Mekong gelegene Anlage. Gepflegter Garten, netter kleiner Pool. Von der Terrasse der Unterkunft (hier "Hut of Love") kann man den Mekong fließen sehen - sehr schön. Ansonsten ist die Hütte eher "rustikal", d.h aus dünnen Holzwänden gebaut, sodass es nachts recht kühl wird. Unzureichende Beleuchtung, laute Bewässerungsanlage(ca 1,5h/d) direkt vor der Anlage. Frühstück o.k, freundliches Personal. Für das Gebotene zu teuer.

เราเข้าพักตอนเย็น ด้วยความหิวจึงเข้าทานอาหารก่อน และแจ้งพนักงานว่าพักที่นี่ พนักงานดูแลต้อนรับก็ดี แต่ไม่แนะนำเลย ว่าเป็นลูกค้าที่พัก ทานอาหารที่นี่ลด 15% เป็นรายละเอียดเล็กๆ ที่ทำให้จากประทับใจ กลายเป็นผิดหวังและไม่เซ็งมากๆ เมื่อได้รู้โปรโมชั่นนี้หลังจากที่ทานอาหารเส็ดและเดินไปรับกุญแจเข้าห้องพักแล้ว พนักงานควรทราบและแนะนำในจุดนี้นะครับ (หรือคิดรับแค่ขาจรก็ตามใจ คุณได้สิทธินั้นแล้วเพราะเราจะไม่มาอีก) ไม่เป็นไรครับ เราได้บัตรลด 15% มา 2 ใบ เนื่องจากเราเข้าพักกัน 2 ห้อง ไอศกรีมเค้กที่นี่น่ากินครับ ตั้งใจว่าทานอาหารเช้าเส็ด จะทานเค้กไอศครีม และใช้บัตรลด 15%(ตอนนี้พนักงานแนะนำว่าใช้ได้) แต่สั่งแล้วหายไปพักใหญ่ มาแจ้งเราว่า ตู้ไอติมเปิดไม่ได้ครับ กุญแจอยู่ไหนไม่รุ้ เปิดขายอาหารและไม่พร้อมขาย ตั้งใจว่าจะได้กินตอนเช้าก็ไม่ได้กินครับ เซ็งครับ เดินทางต่อดีกว่าา

Ein Hotel direkt im Paradies

Dieses Hotel ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp. Man schaut direkt auf Laos und den Mekong, während man im Pool badet. Unser Zimmer war perfekt und wir hätten uns nicht wohler fühlen können. Es gab sogar einen kleinen Steg, der direkt zum Mekong führte. Auch das Restaurant ließ kaum einen Wunsch offen. Massagen können direkt vor Ort gebucht werden und seine Wäsche kann man auch problemlos gegen ein kleine Entgelt reinigen lassen. Dieses Hotel ist ein wahrgewordener Traum!
