We have a good time. Excellent service, nice place and the amenities is awesome.
The property was very nice. But expedia not so much it turn out Gota is close already for the year because of the shows Survivors. But the manager of the place was wonderful she found us a room at the other property thank you for accommodation
The atmosphere immersed us with the beauty of nature. It didnt need to have a pool or any other amenties since it focuses on the natural beauty of their environment which really showcases Caramoan
We stayed at Gota village resort for 2 nights and were very disappointed. Staff was unfriendly and impolite, their attitude was ''don't bother me, I don't care''. In two days we didn't see even 1 smile from them. The place is outdated and needs a renovation. In our cabin the blinds and the shower cabin door were broken, the sink cracked, the mirror wasn't cleaned. Food was OK, the beach and the views excellent, but there are plenty nice beaches in the Philippines.
Would we stay here again? Definitely NO.
Nice place. Good service. Very far to travel from Manila however worth the time and every bucks.

It is being onwed by the government i hope they train the staff well on how to maintain the property. The food is delicious and the price was just right. The staff also needs customer service skills training
The whole travel to get to Gota is too exhausting, but, when you arrive at the resort, you'll suddenly feel relaxed and at home. Rooms and facilities are great. There is only one restaurant, good thing all the food that we ordered for our 2 nights and 3 days stay were all delicious. Staff was excellent and very accommodating. They even have free shuttle service that can fetch you from Sentro ng Caramoan to the resort and vice versa. Overall, our vacation there was indeed super worthy.

We enjoyed the great service when it came to exploring the local islands on boat. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable and good food with Sherry in the restaurant. The manager Joyce Vilarosa was a delight, very accommodating, very knowledgeable for customer service and made our experience very memorable. We would recommend this wonderful venue and we will comeback with our friends and family in future again. We are hoping that the road leading to the GOTA Resort will be improved that will be a plus not only to the Resort but to the community as well. God bless you all!
This is a government-owned resort, often used as a base by an international TV reality show franchise. Provides jobs to the locals, and a nice setting for tourists.
The main purpose to visit Caramoan is for the island hoping tours.
The resort has a restaurant with good food, and an activity center where you can book island hoping tours and other extreme activities. The wooden cabins are nicely spaced, providing you with privacy, although somewhat outdated.
To get here I suggest flying to Virac, Catanduanes. From there get a tricycle to Cabcab’s pier (PHP350, 40 minutes). Then get a boat to Guijalo Port, Caramoan (9am, PHP300, 1.5 hours). Then a tricycle to Gota Village Resort, via downtown Caramoan (PHP300, 40 minutes).

Although, we had the misfortune of experiencing a typhoon during our stay, (power was on and off, road was completely impassable due to flooding and landslides, running out of food), the staff were all very helpful and friendly. All guests were given free accommodation and food (we couldn't leave). And the resort manager has arranged all our transport (we had to leave our cars behind) to reach our next destination and keep us safe. Kudos to the whole staff of Gota Village, Caramoan. Thank you.
Anyway, we still managed to enjoy our holiday despite the storm :-)

Quiet, great place to relax out from city buzz. Rooms were pretty basic. Downside, the restaurant had so little choice of food, and lot on the menu was not available. Overall, its a good placr for island hopping jump-off, a good place to relax and enjiy what nature has to offer. But, be prepared to walk to and from room to restaurant (and other points).

Beautiful Resort in Caramoan I Highly Recommend
Went with my wife and her sister and husband. The area is beautiful and there are enough extra activities to keep most visitors entertained beyond the beach the resort has to offer. We took the island hopping excursion to four different islands and beaches. It cost 2,200 php and was well worth it as you have an entire day with the boat and crew. We prepaid for lunch and the crew brought it to us on one of the beaches. I highly recommend taking an island hopping excursion. They offer more extreme excursions like cliff diving or rock climbing. The cabins were in ok shape but the blinds needed to be replaced and we had one AC unit go out and ants in the bathroom with zero pest control. You have to request at the office for your room to be serviced by housekeeping it’s not automatic like a regular hotel. WiFi is only available in the check in office area. Despite not being busy the food takes a long time to come out from the kitchen. There is only one onsite restaurant but the food was delicious for the most part. By western standards it’s reasonably priced but my Philippino in laws thought it was very expensive because they are comparing it to their town prices and portions etc. Honestly I couldn’t take 4 people out to dinner in the USA for about 20 USD so I felt the menu prices were fair for a resort. The staff is friendly and we called ahead upon arriving and two nice staff members picked us up at the bus terminal and handled our luggage and check it. It’s a beautiful place!
